We were excited to try this place after seeing good reviews online (probably paid). Unfortunately, our experience didn’t live up to the hype. When I arrived for lunch, the security staff at the RSL were unnecessarily rude during the sign-in process. Once we were seated, I noticed it wasn’t that clean. They don’t hand out or supply dry napkins, which is weird. 🤔 when asked, they only have wet tissues. There was lipstick on my cup, and when I tried to clean it, I found that the wet tissues just spread the makeup around. After reading other reviews, they seem to have food shortages. The duckbreast steak omakase and the beef gyu katsu BBQ plate weren’t available to order on a quiet Sunday. When our lunch omakase sets arrived, my partner didn’t receive his crème brûlée dessert, and instead, I was given a custard taiyaki (fish bread) without explanation. While I didn’t mind the substitution, it would have been courteous to let us know they had run out of crème brûlée like shown on the menu and reviews online. My partner eventually had to ask for his dessert, which they had forgotten to add to his tray. I can let all that slide—if the food tastes good. But it was mid 🙃 The sashimi was okay, but the chicken namban was bland and didn’t taste Japanese, lacking the seasoning and the mayo was watered down. The teriyaki chicken pretty sad. It wasn’t crispy and tasted like home-brand sauce. I could have probably done a better job cooking it at home. We didn’t finish our meals despite being hungry. It just taste like average RSL food. Highlights were the tempura sides, but they don’t have any tempura dipping sauce.

I tried take-away from Kasa Japanese Restaurant and I was really impressed. The food was prepared meticulously and the flavors were excellent, even after being taken home. The dishes I tried this time were Seafood Udon, Mix Tempura, and Teriyaki Chicken?? – each one was delicious and flavorful. Seafood Udon: The udon noodles were soft and chewy, with a nice bite. The broth was flavorful, rich with seafood taste, and not too salty. The shrimp, squid, and other seafood were fresh, tender, and perfectly cooked – nothing overdone. It felt like a comforting, satisfying dish. Mix Tempura: The tempura was light and crispy, not greasy at all. Even after being packed for take-out, it still stayed crispy. The shrimp and vegetables were cooked perfectly – crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside. I was surprised by how well it held up. Teriyaki Chicken: The chicken had a nice char on the outside, and it was juicy and tender inside. The teriyaki sauce was perfectly balanced – sweet, savory, and not overwhelming. It was a simple but really tasty dish. The food was packaged well, and everything stayed in place during the delivery. The containers were secure, so nothing was spilled or mixed up. Each dish costs between $18-20, which is really reasonable for the quality you get. Considering the delicious food and generous portions, the price is great value for money. You can enjoy excellent Japanese food!!! I’ll definitely be back for more and will recommend it to anyone looking for tasty Japanese food delivered to their door

Delicious quality food in quality atmosphere. Taste revealed their top class marination. Dining in..... is experiencing all that goodness the place has offer. The staff went beyond and took our order when the tablet wouldn't accept any more orders after 9pm. This is forgiving our ignorance of time and blessing us with scrumptious food. Moreover, such a convenient and quality location with ample multistoried parking at RSL, and to top all of that.......a 10% discount on the bill(for accompanying/being an RSL member). Could we ask for a better dine out experience ?! We bet not! Tonight, we were just 2 of us and ordered Miso soup, grill your own......duck steak and grill.your own......eel unagi, oshi bowl pork bulgogi. It was such an engaging experience with personal grills on our plates as we grilled our slices of choice meats(precooked/smoked) to our personal preferences ( rare and medium rare) and devoured our meal. We believe it is such a wonderful place for family dining and look forward to return with our families to reap the benefits of location and parking, and experience the goodness of quality food, service and atmosphere.
