The so-called 'manager' was not just rude, but downright hostile and unprofessional. I had been a loyal patron, pouring thousands of dollars into their machines and bar over the years. On this particular night, I'd just finished a session on the pokies and was taking a moment to enjoy a cigarette while contemplating my next move. The pub was practically empty, with more vacant seats than patrons.
Suddenly, this aggressive individual, claiming to be the manager, storms up to me. Without so much as a polite request, he barks at me to 'get out' if I wasn't actively feeding money into a machine. His tone was confrontational, his manner intimidating. It was as if he was looking to start a fight rather than manage a business.
This blatant disrespect is absolutely unacceptable. I've spent countless nights here, easily dropping hundreds, if not thousands of dollars between the pokies and the bar. And this is how they treat a regular? It's not just poor customer service; it's a slap in the face to every patron who's ever supported this establishment.
If this is how they treat their customers, they won't have any left. It's clear they're more interested in squeezing every last dollar out of people than fostering a welcoming environment. I'm seriously reconsidering ever setting foot in this place again, and I'll make sure to warn others about this...
Read moreOn 30th July, I went to Keighery Hotel ar 10 am as usual. I Ordered a latte with one sugar as usual. The coffee tasted just like milk. This new Chinese girl was working. I have never seen her before.
Maybe after an hour I called her and politely said "The latte I had before was not good can I please get another one". Those were my exact words. She then got angry and said if you dont like the coffee then get one from outside. I then wanted to speak to the manager thinking that may be it was a language barrier.
I was surprised that the manager was even more aggressive towards me. The whole time I was calm and even apologise but the dude was like the coffee is for free.
I understand the beverage is for free but that is a standard service provided by every venue. Don't the venue have a standard for coffee. I was very disappointed by this lady and the manager behaviour.
I also wanted to mention that I have been to that venue for roughly 4 years. You can ask to any other staff If I was ever rude to anyone. I hope this message goes to the right person and If the manager is reading this dude you were really rude to me.
Don't forget we are the customer and you are meant to deal with the situation in a calm and friendly manner. You lack all the quality a manager should have. Just ask that girl to make you one coffee and you will know what I was...
Read moreKeighery Hotel is a great spot if you’re looking for a chill place to hang out with friends. I recently visited and had a really enjoyable experience. The ambience is relaxed yet lively—perfect for unwinding after work or catching up over the weekend.
Their beer selection is solid, with a good variety on tap to suit different tastes. Whether you're into classic lagers or something more craft-oriented, you'll find something that hits the spot. The staff were friendly and service was prompt, which added to the overall good vibe.
The place has a welcoming layout with comfortable seating and just the right level of music—not too loud, so conversations flow easily. It’s definitely not pretentious, just a genuine pub atmosphere that makes you feel at home.
While it may not be the most upscale venue in town, Keighery delivers consistently on quality and comfort. The food menu is decent too, with all the pub classics if you’re feeling hungry. All in all, it’s a solid 4/5 from me. Definitely recommend it if you're in the area and looking for a laid-back spot to grab drinks and spend...
