Ordered a Hawaiian pizza with pork crackling (never seen this on a pizza before) and Arabiata penne at 6:50pm, estimated delivery time 8:22 😳 ok cool we thought it will prob arrive earlier, hahahahahahaha 8:40pm no sign at all if it was on its way.
Tried to call the store half a dozen times only to be disconnected and caller unavailable. Got onto menulogs customer service to see if they could help, meanwhile my gf continued to call the store, she gets thru and asks politely if our order was on its way? The response "we've been flooded with menulog orders" when asked the status of our order my gf heard the girl ask "how long does it take to deliver to Blackheath? (15-20 min max depending on traffic) someone else telling the girl 20min, no make it 30min. It was 8:45 at this point, meal well over its expected delivery time. Our meal hadn't even been made yet.🤣 Google maps states the restaurant closes at 9pm.
9:20 🎉 finally a knock at the door, we leap to our feet and run to the door. The second my hand touched the pizza box I knew something was off. It was as cold as the winter nights air. We sit down and I open the box, and not to my surprise it was not hot. I've done farts hotter than this pizza was. It wasn't just the temp that was off, since when does a Hawaiian pizza come with pepperoni on it??? 🤔 Never asked for it and yet there it was pepperoni outnumbering the ham. The crust might as well have been the box it came in, rubbery and bland. The pork crackling might as well just been replaced with salt, there was no crackling flavour with the dust they sprinkled on it, I paid $3.00 extra for that dust lol. Lucky I like pepperoni, but if I wanted a pepperoni pizza I would have ordered one. A thin crust pizza doesn't take over 2hrs to make.
The pasta, hmmm I've reheated week old leftovers that smelt ,tasted and looked better. The tiny container they threw in containing "Parmesan cheese" was a gross wet pile of shaved cheddar cheese 🤮
It seems the may have run out of ingredients by this stage of the night and just used anything in hand hence the pepperoni "Hawaiian" pizza.
Here's the real kicker they charged $9 for a delivery fee, with a minimum order of order of $25. So at a total of $52 for a "Hawaiian pizza" and pasta dish, glad we didn't decide to go and eat in and be charged $10 for dine in 🤣 I'm sure we'd still be sitting there in the morning waiting for our meals.
I cannot recommend this place to anyone, we were tourists to the mountains for the long weekend and this experience ruined what was already a great weekend. We wasted an entire night waiting for a simple meal provided by a local business, we could have driven to the Blaxland maccas and back (40mins each way) by the time our meals arrived.
Put simply, if you can't deal with online/menulog orders then don't use the service, if you insist on it then keep customers updated on the delivery times or if you are overwhelmed with online orders turn off the service to receive orders untill you have the current orders fulfilled. If you're willing to take people's money for a service, provide the service. If you know you can't keep up with delivery times perhaps reduce or refund the delivery charge, or even pass on to the delivery person to apologise for the lateness of...
Read moreVery disappointing dining experience. Staff is friendly enough but untrained. I ordered a Rocket & Prosciutto salad, which came out with the prosciutto missing. After asking for prosciutto the waitress went into a discussion with me that she believes it doesn't come with prosciutto. I had to make her aware that it's on the menu. She brought out the missing prosciutto, it was flacked jerky. My dog liked it though. For my main meal I ordered Penne Ferrari w bacon, chilli, garlic, snow peas, eshalots, basil, baby spinach, extra vrigin olive oil. It was bland boiled pasta on a few spinach leaves with bits of cooked bacon. I again had to call the waitress over to make her aware of the missing garlic, chilli, basil and eshalots. She took the meal back to the kitchen and it came back with all promised ingredients except the basil but capsicum strips instead? The parmesan cheese that came with the meal tasted unpleasantly soapy, which I had to fish out of my meal again as I was eating. I pointed the soapy flavour out to the waitress for feedback, she said that this is the kind of cheese that tastes like that and assured me that there is nothing wrong with the cheese but that she doesn't like it either. So here is a bit of research: "Soapy flavors (meaning that the cheese tastes of soap), are seen as a defect that results during a cheese's aging. This is typical of mold-ripened softer cheeses and can sometimes refer to rancid flavors as well." - I do not recommend this restaurant, especially not for pregnant...
