I have a health condition that limits me to what I can drink, I can't have drinks with sugar as I am allergic to insulin & can only have it in emergencies as it's a huge risk for me to have it. To cut a long story short I have been given normal Pepsi on several occasions so the old manager said I could have my drinks in cans so I was safe. This worked well for sometime & although on occassion I was given normal Pepsi, it wasn't a drama & it could be both identified as unsafe for me to drink & exchanged. Unfortunately the old manager isn't there anymore & they have a new one. A couple of months ago I was given a normal can of Pepsi. I waited for someone to come for it to be changed but nobody came so I thought maybe they were on their morning tea break so I went out to the bar where it wasn't busy but there were 3 staff members. I asked if nobody was working in the gaming room as I needed my drink changed. The new manager snapped at me & said she'd change it. She then picked up a dirty old tea towel and wiped her hands then proceeded to open it. I find this to be very unhygienic & puts me at risk of picking up illnesses such as covid etc. so I said I find it quite gross & to please not do that, again she snapped at me. I went back to a machine I'd reserved & the reserve sign was gone so I asked the young girl if she'd removed it & she replied she had so I said perhaps she should ask the locals first (there was hardly anyone in the gaming room at that time). Next thing the new manager came barging out & plonked herself in the chair next to me & at the top of her voice so everyone could hear said "you & I are going to have a talk". I looked at another woman that was there & her mouth literally dropped open so I said to the new manager that it wasn't appropriate to speak to me like this to which she replied "this is how I talk" at the top of her lungs then proceeded to tell me that there'll be no more reserving machines for longer than 10 minutes & there'll be no more cans of drink, they'll be in glasses. Everytime I tried to respond she just cut me off & then she got up & walked off, it was so humiliating & intimidating & completely not appropriate. I came home in tears & wrote an email of complaint to the higher management but never heard back. On the 18/06/25 I was back in there again (all fool me). Due to the past incidents of having wrong drinks poured & no longer allowed to have them in cans where I can identify them as safe to drink, I am very very frightened of having the wrong drink poured due to the risk it poses to me so I only trust certain staff members to pour me drinks as they know me & understand the importance of getting it right. I rang my bell but nobody came so I went out to the bar but it was only the manager there. I asked where the other staff member was & she said she was on her break. I said I wanted her to pour me a drink & she snapped at me & said she can do it. Due to past experience & the fear I have that's caused me terrible anxiety of being given the wrong drink I said "no its ok, it could kill me" That's as far as I got as I was going to say "if you get it wrong & I have to have insulin, I'll just have a bottle of water please" but like the last time she had a go at me she cut me off & boy did she blow. She stood there & yelled & screamed at me, everytime I tried to say something she would cut me off, then a man came to the bar & she continued to yell & scream at me so I said to her that this isn't appropriate and she needs to be professional. Again, her behaviour left me humiliated & very very upset. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse, the next morning I get a text from another patron who said "they've barred you for a month". So clearly a staff member had gone & spoken about me to other patrons. I have written another letter of complaint to the higher management but again have been ignored, they simply don't care about their loyal customers & bar you for saying it's not appropriate or professional when you're being screamed at! Absolutely...
Read moreStill only care about the pokies! Didn't think the place would get worse after years of renovations (still ongoing), but the new downstairs bar area is so poorly designed. The TV is almost IMAX sized, but they've had to move the tables so close because of the position of the bar. Further to that, the schooner glasses are no longer chilled so the beer goes flat quickly. The beer prices use to be cheap compared to other bars in the area, but the prices are too high now for flat beer. The staff are still good, but apparently their hands are tied due to the owners commands. They can't turn the sound up on the TV's or even put a mat down on the bar service area to soak up the condensation. No food but give it 5 years and they might eventually open...
Read moreHorrible experience! I was refused entry from the egotistical head security guard because I didn't have my phone on me at the time to jump through their vigorous QR hoops, even though I handed over my ID and was willing to provide my email & phone number. When I stated that this was discrimination, the Manager, Nicholas, was called, to which we then argued about the legalities of me being denied access to the establishment, to which then the security guard & manager then conspired to throw me out on a loop hole, stating that they thought I was under the influence of drugs... after a 10 min argument about QR code phone requirements. Absolute disgrace, nobody should spend their money at this sorry excuse of an...
