Were craving something spicy and light. This place has been on our list for a while so thought of giving it a shot. Parking was not difficult to find. Got a table immediately. They have a washroom inside. Settle the bill at the counter made with the white truck. We felt the waiters were a bit in a rush and kept asking if we were ready to order, maybe because they were expecting a lot more customers. The menu was straight forward, not too many items to choose from. All items were served in less than 5-10 minutes from ordering them. We ordered: Papdi chaat - Quantity 5/5, Taste 4/5. Felt it had a coarse texture to it, especially the papdi. Didn't expect and didn't like raw tomato in a chaat. Afgani Murgh Tikka - Quantity 5/5, Taste 4/5. 4 big pieces served with mint raitha. The quantity of the raitha was way too less, but they did offer an extra serving when asked. Tasted good, could have been served in smaller pieces. Butter Roti - Quantity 5/5, Taste 5/5. 6 pieces were served fresh. Spicy butter chicken gravy - Quantity 5/5, Taste 4/5. Sumptuous quantity, spice felt a little later. Could have been better. Desserts: On our way out we ordered sweets, jilebi and milk cake. Both tasted well! Minimum order 250grams. Not likely to visit here again, will see...

One of the best experiences and places to go for food. I drive past the place mostly everyday but never planned of visiting it. But today a dear friend of mine highly recommended it. Had the pleasure of meeting the chef "Shekhar" too. He is a gr8 personality and very humble and polite. Lets come to customer service. I would rank it a 6.5 out of 10 as the staff needs to be more vocal and attentive. Having said this, they were polite and good but lack of coordination was there. Now the ranking for food. The food was 10 out of 10. The taste of the food and quality and the freshness was just amazing. Everything was freshly made and nothing was from the freezer or a day old. The curries are made daily and a lot of focus is given on the freshness and quality of the food alongwith the ingredients as I personally felt that fresh ingredients were used in cooking. Keep it up Mitran Da Dhaba. Now ambience, it was good and gave a dhaba feel. I highly recommend this place. There was a queue of people even on a weekday.

I recently dined at Mitran Da Dhaba in Blacktown, excited to indulge in some authentic Indian cuisine. While the atmosphere of the restaurant did provide a promising start to the meal, the food itself, unfortunately, didn't quite live up to expectations. The main issue was the lack of depth in the flavors that one typically associates with Indian cuisine; it felt like the dishes were missing that rich complexity and aromatic spice blend that makes this cuisine stand out. Additionally, the spiciness level of the food was overwhelmingly high, overshadowing any other potential flavors and making it difficult for someone with a lower spice tolerance to enjoy their meal fully. While I appreciate the effort to deliver authentic and bold flavors, a balance is crucial to cater to a wider range of palates. Overall, Mitran Da Dhaba offers a decent experience, but there's room for improvement in flavor balancing and spice adjustment to truly shine.

We went there Yesterday night. Very crowded which is understandable due to COVID restrictions. After 1 hour waiting, we got the chance to sit inside. We ordered 5 dishes for starter and you have to order mains at same time to save their time. They end up delivering 7 dishes due to miscommunication which we end up packing. While we were having starter, main also came in 5 min. We ordered 4 dishes and only 3 came. 4th dish came after 15 min. When questioned about the delay, restaurant manager offered free chappatis which were not required as we have already finished dinner. He suggested to pack the chappatis which was strange as you can't eat them again. Overall, food & concept is good but service quality is very poor. If you really want to go and finish your dinner in 30 min then this place is for you. If you really want to enjoy your evening with family and friends then this place is not worth wasting time and money.

I’d say this place is probably the best for having north Indian food. The curry tastes very very close to curries you get in India. Salted lassi is also amazing. The service is very fast & the staff is very friendly & responsive. Dal tadka was too spicy, didn’t expect it to be this hot. Though the taste was amazing. Please ask the staff for spiciness prior to ordering. Paneer chilli was not good. The taste of the dish was really nice but the paneer was too hard. Though, the owner was very nice & he didn’t charge us for this dish. Also, asked us if we want to get a takeaway dish for the same. Not many Indian restaurants care for such things. This is definitely our go to place for having north Indian food. The place truly feels like a desi dhaba style.

I have had ordered few times from here. Their chicken tandoori was actually pretty good, I am never a fan of chicken tandoori but tbh I quite liked it here. The other times I ordered spicy butterchicken which was pretty good too, loved the sauce but if you are someone who loved the meat there were hardly chicken in that butter chicken lol. I was okay with the sauce as I love the curry sauce more. (Update: dine in experience is better than takeaway with them but the menu slip, tables, plates can be quite dirty) palak paneer which looked and was disgusting, I couldn't believe that the butter chicken and palak paneer were from the same restaurant. Probably they may do non veg food better?I can't really tell based on trying 1 non veg dish.
