This review is in response to Deborah Haynes review. I'm currently working at the leaf café in Rouse Hill Town Centre and am very sorry for what occurred yesterday to you however the way you wrote your review, with all due respect was dishonest regarding the events that followed yesterday. Your daughters green tea was not on the counter but rather was sitting on the stand where we make teas and was still brewing. On the order you put through there was no steak sandwich which is why you never got it. However that could have been a mistake at the register made by either yourself or my colleague working the register. That could have very well been our mistake and we apologise for that. You did not "ask" but rather demanded your money back on something you had not paid as it had not been put through, you belittled my co-worker and forced her to pay you without been cooperative at all. We never put the blame on you at all and we all worked our hardest to be just and honest when we made the mistake however we treated you with respect and got none in return. The kitchen were not told about what happened they are simply a joyful group of people who love their job. We knew what was happening but weren't given the opportunity to help. If you have been here a couple times and this is the only time something like this has occurred, I don't agree that we deserve a 1 star or a 0. Very few times has this happened and we are truly sorry and we wish it not to happen again but I wanted to write this to make sure people reading this got the full picture. Everyone working there right now tries very hard to be as helpful, kind and respectful to every customer however I will not stay quite when someone is dishonest about the way we work. Hopefully nothing like this happens again and to anyone else who was unsatisfied with our service and gave us a bad review we are truly sorry and are working very hard to rectify our mistakes everyday. We are only human and we make mistakes....
   Read moreI want to start by saying how impressed I am with the young staff's service and dedication. It is unlike me to leave reviews on businesses, but I can't help by feeling sorry for the workers and need to mention a few things. The staff are young and overworked, and from my observations during my pervious visits, they seem to have overly high exceptions from what seems to be the owner or manager Dave (name mentioned by one of the staff members). From the many times I have been here, I just want to say that the attitude Dave presents himself with to both customers and staff members is unacceptable. The young staff members appear distressed when confronted by this man, and I have noticed on multiple occasions that he sometimes ignores staff when they refer to him for support. Incredibly unprofessional behaviour. And to customers, his behaviour is similar. I have talked to a few customers from this cafe after receiving direct service from Dave due to simple requests or complaints, and almost all have mentioned the same thing. He doesn't care for trying to bring light to the situation and apologising for mistakes, and instead acts annoyed as if it is the customer's fault for complaining.
I am honestly shocked that this money hungry and unsympathetic business with no genuine care for their staff members or customers still...
   Read moreIâve been to this cafĂ© several times before and always enjoyed it, but my recent visit left a lot to be desired due to poor service. I ordered the breakfast gnocchi, which comes with chorizo as the base. The waitress got the order wrong and told me theyâd bring the chorizo on the side to fix it. Fine, no big deal.
However, after waiting 20 minutes with no sign of my food, I went up to the register to ask for an update. To my surprise, the staff member claimed I had actually ordered the chicken gnocchi instead of the chorizo gnocchi, which was completely untrue. She then informed me that there would be an extra charge for getting the chorizo on the side. It seemed like she had confused the order entirely, and her lack of clarity only made things worse.
The staff member also seemed a bit confused, which made me wonder if she had memory issues or simply needed more training. The mix-up shouldâve been handled better. This cafĂ© has potential, but if service like this continues, it will definitely start affecting the overall experience. Iâm disappointed, and unless they improve, Iâm not sure...
