We arrived early 10 minutes before the restaurant had opened, the owner was so nice and invited us to sit without hesitation, Service was great, with the owner making great recommendations. We had a variety of dumplings, duck pancakes and sweet ginger tea. Everything was amazing. The stand out for us was the chicken dumplings, so good we went back for seconds. Not pictured but the duck pancakes were also to die for. 10/10 would recommend. To the negative reviewers, the restaurant rules were written clearly on the counter, perhaps take your entitlement somewhere else. to everyone else. go. enjoy and leave satisfied with a belly full of delicious dumplings :)

Overall food taste pretty good. The xiao long bao pastry is a bit thick and the filling is a bit different from the traditional one. I do like the texture and the taste of the filling. Hainan Chicken slightly overcooked but still very tender. Duck wrap is amazing, highly recommend it. I do find the price is slightly higher but I do enjoy the dinning experience.

Not cheap for Chinese food but damn good!! With lockdown, we got home delivery - pork sang choi bao, prawn assam curry, bbq pork plate, and poached asian greens. Everything was yum and we'll definitely be visiting when things open up again. šŸ˜€ Oh, the delivery guy (Larry I think) was really friendly. šŸ‘

My 90 year old mum and I were attracted to this cozy place by the sign outside advertising Hai Nan Chicken Rice, one of our all time favourite dishes, having sampled literally hundreds during our many trips to Penang and Singapore in the 70s and 80s. The lovely cook/manager Annie warned us the dish was not your conventional one, but had a slight Thai twist to it, and asked us if we were ok with the ginger sauce being served on top of the chicken instead of separately, as is tradition. Then we were assaulted by the smell of what seemed to be shrimp paste, tamarind & ginger from the kitchen- the sauce whipped up fresh for us. Our bowls appeared: Fluffy rice steamed in chicken broth with tender poached breast pieces coated in the sauce, with a small bowl of chicken broth on the side. All components great, but the real winner was the ginger sauce. This was simply stunning! A modern Thai twist to a simple dish executed superbly. Without a doubt, the best Hai Nan Chicken Rice we've tasted in over 40 years of eating it. Do yourself a favour- visit Fu Manchu if only for the chicken rice. You won't regret it! We shared roti with potato curry for entree and this was also superb. The curry was to die for. If their other dishes are up to the standard of the 2 dishes we had, this restaurant is a real winner. The cook and waitress were very friendly, service was great, price very reasonable, and food...

Sneaky and rude staff I never had to write a bad review on a restaurant before but this place made such a bad impression that I will not forget. I had a birthday booking for 16 which I had organised at the beginning of the week confirming the booking and requesting no banquet. Then 2 hours before arriving received a call from them asking for my credit card details which I wasn't able to at that time and said I'll call them back. After one hour they send a message to cancel my booking to add further stress when you're planning a birthday. This is poor communication on their end, a day before is reasonable but to request this 2 hours beforehand? Only when I called them back they kept our booking. During the night the waiter will only come to bring food, with no smile and added attitude. The lady was extremely rude when we asked whether they did split bill. Her response was to yell at her staff and then gave us a firm and rude tone saying that will it will be inconvenient for them. You can say no without being rude.Throughout the whole communication I had with them all week they decided to leave out an important detail of adding 10% surcharge ($86 dollars) for a group booking with the added $50 banquet pp. When we asked why this was charged their response was it is specified in their website of a surcharge for group bookings. Food is average but definitely not worth the price and...

Staff were rude from before we even ordered, trying to get us to rush to order. When we were seated, the incredibly rude, miserable woman asked us to sit outside because we were too loud, claiming we were so loud that they couldn’t cook.

Quite frankly we should have just left then.

As someone who not only lives and works in the area, as well as having worked in customer service, the attitude from who I assume is the owner was just rude, and there could have been many ways to handle the situation if we were too loud, the way we were spoken to was unnecessary. We even had an international guest with us and asked us if it was normal for people in Australia to talk like that.

The fact that there are more reviews with similar interactions at this location makes it obvious that this is not an isolated incident.

Even reading the response from the owner and other responses to bad reviews, they’re don’t apologise, and put the blame back onto their customers.

Don’t spend...
