I recently had the pleasure of dining at Manna, a Malayalam restaurant that truly exceeded my expectations! The moment I stepped in, I was warmly welcomed by the staff, and the aroma of spices and fresh ingredients filled my senses.

The Porotta, oh the Porotta! It was love at first bite! Soft, flaky, and perfectly cooked, it was the perfect accompaniment to the rich and flavorful Chicken Curry. The curry was a masterclass in balancing spices, with a depth of flavor that left me craving for more.

Disgraceful Experience at Manna – Avoid at All Costs!

Manna in Westmead is an absolute disgrace. We ordered their so-called $23 takeaway deal with four porottas and a chicken curry, and it was the worst dining experience imaginable. The porottas were tiny—barely half the size of a palm—and the chicken curry was nothing but a salty mess, completely inedible. We also tried the biryani, which was a joke—just a meager portion of rice with TWO miserable pieces of chicken.

If that wasn’t bad enough, we were told we’d have to PAY EXTRA if we wanted to eat the takeaway on their premises. The audacity! The staff were rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. And the tea? Absolutely disgusting. It was watery, flavorless, and had neither milk nor sugar. When we asked for sugar, they gave us a small container, and when we returned it, one of the staff shamelessly dipped his fingers into it. The lack of basic hygiene was appalling and outright revolting.

This place is a scam—tiny portions, terrible food, unhygienic practices, and atrocious customer service. Do yourself a favor and stay FAR away from Manna. There are plenty of restaurants in Sydney that serve decent food and treat customers with respect. Manna deserves nothing but...

I ordered 1 thallassery chicken biryani, 1 beef roast, 4 parrottas and 1 mango pickle on Sunday night and they charged me 69.80 dollars. Overcharged and not worth it. The portion is very less when compare to the price. Even the menus were outdated, still with old price.

Reply: Mate, I know the rates are higher than usual takeaways. I ordered all these items for myself and was there only for the good quality kerala food. I didn't even ask for a receipt or a price check before ordering. You used a 500 ml container for a biryani with two small chunks of chicken. No one uses a 500 ml container for the biryani in whole Australia. And you said the price menu is in fb and google. So you want the customers to check fb and google evertime they visit the resto?
