I don't get it. I don't eat in McD and nobody I know or work with does either. Ever. I have travelled to 87 countries and always eat the local food. It's cheaper, tastier, healthier, more sustainable and helps the local economy more than eating in a multinational fast food joint. Why do people eat there? For the same reason that they drive 300 metres to the local store instead of walking, put the heating/airconditioning on full power and open a window to cool/heat the room, buy cheap clothes from chain stores despite knowing that they are made by underpaid workers under terrible and often dangerous conditions, expect plentiful supplies of attractive, safe and cheap food while farmers are going bankrupt and all hell breaks loose if contaminated food is found in the market. Going to McDonalds is effortless. You don't need to think too much, pay too much or be concerned about what you are eating and where it comes from. It's the concern of the corporate entity that we have allowed to dominate our lives. Eating in McDonalds is a symptom of a sick society where individuals have lost any sense of responsibility towards each other. So next time you are tempted to nip in to a McDonalds or any other fast food chain, look for a locally owned and run cafe, diner, snack bar or street food vendor and give them your money for better food. If there isn't one nearby, it's because they were driven out of business by the fast...
Read moreLiterally don't come here, probably the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. The customer service is terrible and the staff are so careless. Last week I came here to order some food, waited 20+ minutes, and once I drove off I realised half of my meal was missing. Today I went again and waited 20+ minutes while one of the workers were just standing there doing nothing? It's so frustrating how careless the workers here are. I got my food checked the bags, yet again something was missing. I'm guessing this happens to most customers as the store is almost always empty. I let them know and they didn't even apologise, the lady just said "so what are you missing?" and gave me what was missing. Then I got told that I had to wait 5 minutes for a single apple pie. Ended up waiting 15 minutes and I was so close to leaving the store empty-handed. I'm so tired of the rude staff members and terrible customer service. I would understand if they were busy but it was literally only me and 1 other man in the store. I can easily say this is the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. Do yourself a favour and go to a different one. I can assure you any McDonalds would be...
Read morePoor service. Ordered a chocolate shake, they gave me a vanilla shake. I looked at the person who served me and told him I asked for a chocolate shake and not vanilla (he could see the drink was white and not brown). He took it inside, came back to me, handed me the drink again and said "there's chocolate sitting at the bottom, you need to mix it." Right then and there I started stirring it with the straw but it didn't change colour (I'm aware it's not my job to be mixing this), I tasted it and ofcourse, it was vanilla. Another boy came to the window and I told this one "I ordered chocolate shake, this is not chocolate. The other guy told me to mix it but there's nothing in here to mix." This person took my drink inside and came back out with a vanilla shake with chocolate syrup poured on top?!!! These poor school kids aren't getting trained adequately. Not only can they not differentiate between a chocolate shake and a vanilla shake, they also don't know when a customer asks for a chocolate shake you give them a chocolate shake and not ask them to stir the...
