I visited the place with my friends, as I had fond memories of it being spacious and pleasant when I last went there 2 years ago. However, I was extremely frustrated by the rudeness of the staff this time, prompting me to leave a review.
When I ordered using the self-service machine, the order receipt didn't come out, but I thought it could happen. Two of the burgers my friends ordered were missing, and even after confirming it on CCTV, the staff insisted that they had put them in and offered them for free, which was quite absurd. We are not beggars.
Finally, when my order arrived and I checked it immediately, it was exactly as I had ordered. Feeling relieved, I sat down and started eating the burger, but to my surprise, there was not a single piece of lettuce in my McCrispy deluxe burger. Normally, I would have just eaten it, but I was already feeling upset because my friend had a bad experience with them. So, I went up to the counter and showed them my burger, mentioning that it was missing lettuce. To my dismay, the female employees started giggling and mocking each other, saying, "No lettuce." I wasn't asking for a remake; I was simply lodging a complaint as a paying customer.
I understand that my appearance may have seemed funny to them, as it happened on the way home from the swimming pool. However, being an Asian woman who doesn't speak English well, they shouldn't have easily dismissed me. To make matters worse, my 10-year-old daughter asked me why those girls were laughing without apologizing for their mistake. What was I supposed to say to her? I just wanted to hear an apology from them. It was a place filled with girls who stared at and mocked customers who asked them to do their job properly. I have no intention of going back, but I strongly urge you to start customer service...
Read more*ALLERGY ALERT - If you have modifications to orders due to allergies etc., triple check your orders. Almost every single experience I've had here has resulted in a messed up order. They can't even get something as simple as diet coke right! This place is consistently busy, particularly with drive through, it depends on the day as to whether they process your order quickly. Communication between the order taker and drive thru staff is terrible and their landline is appalling. I have an exceptionally loud voice, yet they have never been able to hear me on the phone and on the rare occasion they answer their phone, they hang up on me - you really need to find a quieter place to take phone calls as this customer service needs a real improvement! Following instructions on Uber Eats proves just as difficult, as I have never received sauce with nuggets, never received toys with the happy meals and they often send me Coke instead of diet coke. Would be nice if there was a little more equipment to offer toddlers in the playground, but on a number of occasions it has been closed due to the damaged floor anyway (they don't ever seem keen to fix things quickly). In regards to the double drive thru, so many times, I have been made to wait, as the teenagers running drive through don't alternate the cars, which has resulted in multiple arguments between other cars I've witnessed. One woman nearly wrote off my car as she was determined that she was ahead of me in the queue. This drive through definitely brings out the psychos. A simple single drive through would be much easier to manage. Stop trying to be clever, get the basics in customer service right before trying anything...
Read moreRegrettably, I feel compelled to leave a negative review regarding one of your employees. The manner in which she interacted with me was deeply upsetting, and I couldn't help but feel that her behavior was influenced by my brown skin.
I had pre-ordered my meal at the speaker and was instructed to proceed to the window. When I arrived, the employee handed me something I hadn’t ordered. I politely pointed out that it wasn’t my order and provided my order number. In response, she dismissively stated, "We don’t see the order number here. I need to know what your order is." I needed a moment to recall my order, but instead of allowing me that time, she rudely shouted across to the colleague who had initially taken my order, saying, “This customer doesn’t know what he ordered. Can you come here please?”
During this exchange, I was trying to locate my order details, when the colleague finally approached the window and asked what I had ordered. I told him that I had ordered chicken and gave the order code. The employee then remarked with a mocking tone, “This is McDonald’s, we don’t sell chicken here,” accompanied by a condescending smile. This was incredibly hurtful and completely unnecessary.
Only after this did she say, “Oh, I know what you mean,” before handing over my correct order.
This experience was nothing short of unacceptable customer service. It is my belief that your staff could greatly benefit from training on how to engage with customers respectfully and professionally, and practice basic politeness in all...
