I was not impressed with my experience at Sans Souci McDonalds on 21/9.
First of all, we waited like 5 mins in the drive through before getting served, while 3 other cars in the next lane got served and drove through.
Then, when we finally did get served, the girl on the speaker was dismissive and rude and acted like it was an inconvenience to take our order.
When we got to the window to collect our food, I checked the bag and there was no mustard sauce which I definitely ordered. I then waited at the window for a worker to assist, but instead just got blank stares from at least 3 employees in the kitchen. One girl came over and didnât even say anything just stared rudely until I told her the issue and then without a word just grabbed the sauce and gave it to me, as if it was my fault that they forgot the sauce that I PAID for.
Then to top it all off, we drive away only to find out that my double cheeseburger had not a single pickle on it. This honestly ruined my entire meal because I was looking forward to my pickles. This is a common theme among McDonaldâs stores. I find that a lot of the time there are no pickles on my burgers and it is my favourite part. The workers need to ensure they are adding all the ingredients to the meals.
Overall, I think the manager at SS maccas needs to have a good chat to the staff about customer service skills. I felt unwelcome and I felt like I was making their day miserable just for asking for a simple thing.
This also is not a one off issue, as I came the other day and the girl at the window had such a bad attitude when I was very nice and respectful to her.
It really just ruins the experience when employees act this way towards customers, and I want to give them the benefits of the doubt and say it was just a bad day, but at the end of the way at work you should put on a smile and act happy even if youâre not because thatâs what customer service is.
Very very disappointed with this McDonalds, I hope that I will be able to come back here one day and see a change in the service...
Read morehorrible experience at this mcdonaldâs today. i donât often come to this area but today decided to try the mcdonaldâs local to where we were. turns out it was this one. while i was in the drive thru first thing they did was give us the iced latte which was fine but there was no straw. then they proceeded to give the ice creams which we ordered and it went down hill from there. 3 large sundaes, 1 small sundae and an oreo mcflurry. the oreo mcflurry was barely a quarter of the way full with ice cream, maybe half a tea spoon of oreos with it too (thatâs being generous). the small sundae and large sundaes were less than half full and melted already . i asked the worker in the window if she could fill up the oreo mcflurry at least half way considering how much we pay for it now days and she said âthatâs how itâs meant to beâ. sighing and rolling her eyes she took it and filled it a tiny bit more (still under halfway). i then parked infront and took all the ice creams in as i was very unsatisfied and disappointed with the service and as soon as i walk in, a young girl said in a rude tone âis there a problem?â and i politely told her what my issue was and even expressed to her that iâm not trying to be rude but i am unsatisfied. she then said âthatâs howâs itâs meant to be and itâs due to the cost of living going up. (as if mcdonaldâs would even know a thing about the cost of living) I asked to speak with the manager and he said the same thing and put the lid of the sundae down as if it would miraculously make the ice creams fill up. i told him itâs still empty and he said âthey filled up the mcflurry for freeâ i said how did they fill it up if itâs still less than halfway and what do you mean free, i paid for a mcflurry not a tablespoon of ice cream??? he abruptly took the cups and filled them up a bit more (it was soup at this point). DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS MACCAS IF YOU WANT ICE CREAMS!! very bad experience, false advertising and very rude staff⊠youâd think it was coming out of...
Read moreWalking into my local McDonaldâs is like stepping into an alternate reality where the staff are either fresh out of primary school or auditioning for a role in The Walking Dead. Iâm not saying the employees are children, but Iâve definitely been served by someone who still had finger paint on their hands.
The self-service kiosks are a marvel of modern technology⊠if âmodernâ means never having receipt paper. You tap, you order, you pay â and then youâre left with no proof your order existed and you have to get out the portable blackboard to draw a diagram outlining what happened.
Cleanliness? The tables do get wiped down. Once a decade. If you want a clean table, bring your own antibacterial wipes â or just stand.
Your order? Well⊠you will get food. Whether itâs your food is a lucky dip. Missing fries? Extra pickles you didnât ask for? A milkshake instead of a burger? Itâs like McDonaldâs is trying to teach me mindfulness: let go of expectations.
And, of course, the one thing I actually came for â the item Iâve been dreaming about all day â will be âunavailableâ. Ice cream machine broken? Absolutely. McFlurry? Not today, champ.
The food itself is a masterpiece: cardboard lovingly lacquered in tomato-flavoured sugar syrup, all wrapped in the warm embrace of nostalgia and bad life choices.
And yet⊠I keep coming back. Like an Ibis returning to the same dumpster. Itâs not about the taste. Itâs not about the service. Itâs about the chaos that leaves me exhausted...and...
