In a busy Friday evening,
7:20pm - found a less dirty table which I could manage. Cleaned the table and seat with napkins as usual. 7:25pm - sat down and started ordering 7:30pm - Ordered and paid from app a small quarter pounder meal with small choc sundae; and an apple pie - table service as usual 7:57pm - food sent to my table. I saw melted ice cream running down from the paper cup. I shown my odd observation to the customer service girl. She said it's like that even if get it from the machine again. Okay that's. I consumed the sundae first as it's melting. Half cup of the sundae was in liquid form and blended with the hot chocolate. Based on my Macca's experience, it's a result of leaving the sundae for more than 10 minutes or more; not because of the condition of the machine (dispenser) or the ice cream; as the bottom half was still in a semi-solid form.
Chips: I saw an empty small chip holder inside the paper bag, the paper was not "oiled". Chips were in a bulk by itself at a corner of the bag; well that part of the bag "oiled". Chips were soggy. Why were the chips get out of the holder ? Answer: manual handling and customer service attitude.
Quarter pounder: it was my favourite at Macca's. Lucky or not this was my first time having a quarter pounder with a cold patty. Believe or not, due to the good quality of Macca's patty, the taste was not too bad. But I like a warm patty more.
8:20pm Finally the apple pie, checked the best used before time stamp: 6:07pm. Yes, I double checked it was "expired" well before I put my order. Too honest, right? But it's good that they kept the label as is. I approached the manager (at that moment) and he swapped a hot pie to me with a best before stamp at 9:15pm (sort of). He was the best experience I have this evening apart from the coke which was cold and ice was still there.
All in all, the housekeeping, quality of food and customer service are deteriorating. I like the setting of this Macca's and I don't want to see it going down the hill. I struggled to write a review, a bad one. But when I opened google review and browsed others my experience seems within the...
Read moreMy experience at McDonald's Dural was TERRIBLE. My order number was 133 and I waited for at least 15-20 mins until they started to make it. The front pickup staff were terrible, as they did not know how to timely manage our order. They just kept pressing 'ok' completed button on their time screen so their work reputation does not get tarnished, but as a result, missed and overlooked our order. I think they need to be properly trained instead of brainlessly handing orders out, pressing ok for orders on their screen as soon as it comes to the kitchen and standing there doing nothing. I could be wrong, but the job of a front worker is to hand customers their orders, complete orders WHEN THEY ACTUALLY ARE FINISHED, as well as serve drinks and ice cream. Now not only did my order come late, but they overlooked it on their screen because they spammed the ok button before they could see the order. I not only asked one lady about the order, but asked another one too (they just looked at the orders on the table and realised it wasn't there and continued their orders, with number 150 already being served). In terms of customer service, I think it was poor because there wasn't much communication going on and all the drive thru orders were more prioritised, when they could easily ask people to wait in the carpark for their orders to be delivered. The manager had to tell the front staff to stop whatever she was doing (as if she even was doing anything), and focus on my order. They finished my order and wanted to check it again on the screen so they went to the history and spammed the button until they got to my order. The manager came and said 'it's just two choc custard pies, a soft serve and a blue mcfloat'. My brother had to BEG for them to help us out and serve us for us to be served. That's how terrible it was. Mind you, we PAID for the good(s) and service(s) that this so-called food place offered. Nothing to compensate for the lost time but a 'sorry for the mix-up'. Truly...
Read moreDigital order display announced ‘Takeaway only’ No problem. Receipt not dispensed with order and number. No problem. Place wasn’t busy with customers. A few people at tables. Vacant tables were covered in rubbish and table tops were filthy. No problem. We’re not staying. McDonald team members screaming across the store about issues in drive through. Glad we didn’t take that route. Shouting continues. More people turn up and wait at the Pick Up point for their orders. Time drags on. My husband appears because it has taken so long thus far. He suggests we sit in and we try to find a clean table. None. He asks the barista for a damp cloth to clean one. She shouts across the store for a member to clean up. He appeared and sprayed one table, gave it a cursory wipe. He then asked ‘anything else?’ ‘Yes that table there.’ ‘Anything else?’ ‘Why not clean all the tables so customers can sit down and eat?’ Novel concept it seems! Meanwhile no food! Order numbers higher are now being served. I ask the girls at Pick Up if they have my order. A Quick Look and the answer is no. I’m told to wait. One girl reappear and continues to bag items and screams for a hash brown, again. I ask about the order again. I’m asked again what I ordered. Disappearing act again. I can see on the screen the order isn’t there. Reappearing act. Repeat per above. Disappear. Reappear with a bag and the order.
