I ordered a blood orange and I got another drink. When I asked why I got this drink the girl who served me said "we don't have any blood orange so the waitress told me to serve this drink instead". The waitress said nothing about there being no blood orange. The waitress then stepped in to say "sorry, we'll get the blood orange for you" and takes away the drink. The owner, after hearing this conversation, told the waitress to keep the drink there as a way to apologize for getting the order wrong. Then I Come home without my receipt and saw that I've been charged for the 3 drinks. On top of that while I was dinning here the waitress was saying how she doesn't want to work with another girl because "she's not there yet". The constant bitching was unpleasant and tbh when I walk into a resturant I do not want to be hearing their personal stories or drama in their life. Food wise - the lemon and like drink was bland. The blood orange was fresh. Pho - Tan viet is better however since it is closed I was forced to this place. The soup has no flavor. The prices have all increased by $0.50 no justification. I strongly suggest Tan Viet for anyone who wants great pho at Eastwood. The owner is very rude. When I went back he had his arm crossed and yelled at me demanding I list the food I ate. Completely rude and doesn't know how to deal with customer complaints.never going...
Read moreTHE BEST PHO I HAVE HAD EVER IN MY LIFE. I don't add anything to my pho as the chef has spent hours or even days on the broth to perfection, it has a deep depth of flavour, perfectly balance, amazing aromas and a very nice subtle char taste from the grilled spring onion and wagyu meat. It's a total different ball game, I been to many pho restaurants and they don't make it like this place does, even the presentation is done so well. Don't ever add any sauces to your pho or you will ruin it, you won't be able to tell any difference comparing to other pho places because you are always making it taste like hoisin sauce and chilli.
My bean sprouts are lightly boiled, I usually add that in and the basil that is provided. I use the lemon/lime for my dipping sauce not for my pho as it ruins the flavours of the broth. Add 2 small scoops of hoisin, 1-2 scoops of sate, squeeze of lemon/lime and a dash of pho broth in the dipping sauce and mix well.
That there my friend is the best pho and dipping sauce. I usually just order the special to have the variety of meat and one serving of ox tail as it tastes so good when it's dipped in the sauce. I personally order grilled corn and add some of that in to my pho as well but that's not...
Read moreA rude and arrogance owner. My partner helped to order a portion of rare beef with beef ball pho. As I was afraid the order might no have enough broth, I told him to order extra soup. Firstly, they didn't state before hand how much it was to allow the customer to have a informed decision and later found out the order came out and charged me $6 for extra one more container of soup?!
I was considering if they are misunderstood the order. They didn't confirm to my partner even the show what size constitutes as a extra one bowl of soup. I called them back again to refund my $6. They said it will be refunded out of good will. However, nothing happen and they didn't keep their promise. I called them to check and a staff try to spin the story and said my partner did order one more extra soup. The boss answered when I refuse to here the nonsense. He was loud and rude which is not effective in any way to manage a conflict.
If you guys are not understand please reconfirm with the customer to avoid confusion. Good food cant save your business if the service and management are not...
