I have ordered at Monty's Pizza few times earlier and after a gap of several months, I ordered a family size pudina (mint) chicken pizza on 12th May 2023 (order # 1538). Where to start?
As stated by other reviewers, the quality of customer service at the front desk is pathetic! No friendliness or warmth! The owner seems to have employed graduate students who are busy chatting with each other than reaching out to the customer who has stopped by the Store. No, "Hi, how can help you?" greeting!
The family size pizza is $25.95 and the toppings are scarce. Please checkout Pizzeria Italiana on Old Prospect road and you'll understand what I mean. When I pointed this to the person on front desk, she was in no position to understand what I said and defended or repeated what she was told by her team member at the Store.
The sign board nearby the cash register stays, if you purchase more than $20 (if am correct) and pay by cash, you'll get 5% discount and quite ironically the adjacent notice board says, their prices have gone up due to recent inflation and rise in cost of living. My question: How can you offer discount on cash payment when your cost of raw materials have gone up? Very dodgy!
Card payment invites surcharge even for my order of $30 plus. They don't say that ahead before charging the card.
The prices of items need an update. Example, garlic bread costs $4.95 where as price on board says $3.95.
Definitely the business is a major letdown for the local community and feels run down. Reading the owner's reply to one of the commenters that he won't spare anyone who isn't serving the customer sounds like a rhetoric and I'm not sure how it would help someone to work in the best interest of the business and serve the customer when there are so many negative reviews about the business?
Better find another Pizza takeway or if you are looking for a Domino's alternative, then please...
Read moreYesterday i placed an order for a 3-pizza meal deal, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The garlic bread was completely cold, pizza was good but not worth the price and the customer service did not meet expectations. When I asked a staff member who wear a hijab regarding drink, a staff member responded in a rude manner, stating, "ONLY ONE DRINK" with an unnecessarily high attitude. I believe that customer interactions should be handled with professionalism, and I was quite disappointed with this response. I don't understand why Indians consider other Indian as second-class citizens,
Further more to your reply......... Firstly, I am a regular customer with over ten orders from your shop. If needed, you can search for my name in your system to verify my order history, or I am happy to provide my contact number if you are unable to locate it, also I'm an IT professional with no connection to any racial issues.
Secondly, regarding the value of the order, I have been ordering pizza from your shop for the past three years and have noticed a decline in the quantity of toppings over time. When I spend $20 on a pizza, I expect the quality to reflect its price, rather than feeling like I am receiving an $8 Dominos pizza. Additionally, the garlic bread was...
Read moreCareful to check that they make it according to the menu. They put the wrong swirl on our pizza and claimed it says differently to their instore menu as opposed to online. After looking at it carefully I see whats happened there is a mismatch in what they advertise to whats added to the pizza in the cart. See example attatched where ad says minty yoghurt sauce but is replaced with ranch sauce once you add to cart. They should be careful to check what they advertise is consistent throughout the ordering process, especially when people have various dietary requirements. Also ranch sauce in place of minty yoghurt sauce is the wrong combination for such type of product. It's like ordering tandoori chicken and receiving mayonnaise instead of traditional mint. I'm sure if you disclose this upfront you will see less people order and revert back to the classic...
