I had a delightful experience at Narin Restaurant, a family-owned and operated restaurant with a cozy and authentic Persian setting. The food was delicious, fresh, and generous. I ordered the mixed grill platter, which came with a variety of tender and juicy meats, such as lamb, chicken, and beef, along with saffron rice, salad, and bread. The meat was well-marinated and seasoned with aromatic spices and herbs. The rice was fluffy and fragrant, and the bread was warm and soft. The salad was crisp and refreshing, with a tangy dressing. I also enjoyed the complimentary dips and pickles that were served before the meal. They added a nice contrast of flavors and textures to the main course. For dessert, I had the baklava, which was sweet, crunchy, and nutty. It was a perfect way to end the meal.
The service was friendly and attentive. The staff were courteous and helpful, and they made sure that I had everything I needed. They also gave me some recommendations on what to order and how to eat the food. They explained the ingredients and the history of the dishes, which made me appreciate the food even more. They also checked on me frequently to see if I was enjoying the food and if I needed anything else.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting. The restaurant was decorated with Persian carpets, paintings, and lanterns, creating a cozy and elegant ambiance. The music was soft and soothing, adding to the relaxing mood. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and the tables were spaced out enough to ensure privacy and comfort.
I highly recommend Narin Restaurant to anyone who loves Persian food or wants to try something new and different. It is a hidden gem in Adelaide that offers genuine traditional Persian cuisine with great service and atmosphere. It is definitely...
Read moreIf this was the last Persian restaurant in Sydney I would never eat Persian food for the rest of my life There service embarrassed us in front of our guest that came from overseas 1 disrespectful waiter running the whole restaurant by herself Constantly smirking at my wife just because she’s wearing a hijab like she has some sort of problem with Muslim customers Took 15min before they even took our order Plate on the table was dirty , few spoons and forks missing. After calling out to her 3-4 times she’s comes and when we tell her she’s giving us attitude and rolling her eyes and smirking Took 50min to bring out six plates, koobieh was great, chicken was completely pink on the inside and barg was cold like it was sitting in the kitchen for 30min
We started eating and realise our salad was missing we had to call her like 5 time.
coming towards us with attitude after telling her how rude she was and all these problems instead of apologising she keep talking back saying “ok ok ok I don’t know what you mean “ She goes and gets our salad My wife and my mother used the bathroom and there was no toilet paper My mother tried telling her that there is no tissues in both toilets and she continues to roll her eyes saying ok ok ok like she doesn’t care . There is no one to blame for this disgusting and disrespectful customer service other then the owner of this restaurant for a not properly training their waiter and also putting so much pressure on one worker by putting them on the front by themselves to find sitting for customers ,take order, bring orders out, and also take payments and it’s normal as anyone would get too tired and they will not have energy to welcome customers and be respectful towards them. We spent $300 and it was like putting...
Read moreWe are feeling most disappointed and frustrated after basically throwing away $80 on this meal.
It was mostly inedible, and the small portion we could actually eat, wasn't very enjoyable.
I have never written a food review before, however, I feel obligated to warn other people, so they too don't waste their hard earnt money on food that can't be eaten.
It isn't even a matter of subjectivity. The photos clearly show our concerns.
Narin falsely advertises too. The so called 'fried potatoes' are actually barely cooked french fries, and at $7 a serve, this is just ludicrous, particularly because the servings are so small. There was only a tiny sprinkling of saffron on the saffron rice, too.
Most main meals were swimming in oil so they had to be discarded as no content could be salvaged. The only thing we could eat for our expensive meal was the lambshank, though that was pretty fatty and small for its price tag.
Writing this review makes me so sad as I am such a lover of, and advocate for, local food and business, though we feel robbed of our hard earnt money. If it was purely a matter of subjectivity, I could handle that, though this meal was mostly inedible, so we couldn't even judge it, and supporting customers deserve...
