Disappointing Experience. Not What I Expected.
This was our fourth time at Osso and probably the last as I was genuinely disappointed with our experience tonight.
We were seated at 8:45pm, and it wasn’t until 9:15pm (30 minutes later) that we were told our order hadn’t gone through due to a docketing issue. We were offered complimentary calamari, which was appreciated, along with the assurance that our food would be out in the next 20 minutes.
By 9:30pm, our pizza and penne arrived. At this point, we had already been waiting 45 minutes to eat. The pizza was enjoyable, but the penne was noticeably overcooked.
A few minutes later, the $99 tomahawk arrived. We had ordered it medium, but what we received was undercooked, charred on the outside but rare and chewy on the inside. It clearly hadn’t been rested properly and felt rushed, which was especially disappointing given the price point and the cut.
There’s clearly a gap in front-of-house oversight. Who is responsible for checking that orders are progressing and that guests aren’t left waiting nearly an hour?
I was hoping for a seamless, enjoyable evening. Unfortunately, what we experienced was a lack of coordination, average food, poor value for money and lost time I will never get back. I expected so much more especially due to the price point.
In total, we paid the full $169 for a meal that fell well below expectations, both in timing and execution. The service has been slow and inattentive in general but this time it was a...

Essentially, we waited over an hour for our mains (two steaks) only for both of them to come very undercooked, and I was visibly heavily pregnant at the time so that was fun. We sent them back but they still came back cooked wrong (can't remember if it was still undercooked or way overcooked this time, but it was wrong).
We opted to just pay for our starter and leave because the service was ridiculous, the wait was ridiculous, the food wasn't right, you get it. We go to pay, and of course we should pay for what we ate (the starter), but there wasn't even an attempt to give us a discount or anything for our terrible experience.
Actually, that's not completely true. There was a very nice lady at the register helping us but some man took over to finish our transaction (not sure why the swap was necessary) and he gave us a $10 off voucher. You know, you just had to spend $100 first to get the $10 off, which was evidently not possible for us considering we didn't get to enjoy our mains.
Nothing was resolved for our visit that day, we were given a lousy incentive to come back and wait over an hour again to eat undercooked meat and maybe get $10 off for the trouble. We of course did not go back, will not go back, and my husband complains to me every time we even walk past the place. Go to Griddle...

I loved my dining experience here 10 months ago, however It’s safe to say I didn’t feel the same this time.
Our plates and dishes were served OVER the short wall next to our table, instead of the waitress walking around and serving us properly. This meant that we had to help her place the plates on the table. We sat at table number 7. Somehow the table near us were served properly. The food was alright but underwhelming for its high price point. The fries were a very small serving.
First visit review: Located inside Rouse Hill Town Centre, Osso serve sophisticated dishes which are beautifully plated and tasted amazing! From entrees to mains and desserts and drinks, I love them all! Love the vibes and fancy decor throughout. On top of spacious main dining area, they also have a private dining area. Highlights for me: 500gr OP Rib Eye (marble score 2): such an epic steak! One of the best steak I’ve tasted lately for sure. Yamba Prawns: such an exotic, refreshing and delightful dish. Zucchini Flowers: great starter. Antipasto Board: full of many things I love. Beetroot Salad: It is so flavoursome you’ll forget that it’s healthy! Mango mouse and white chocolate parfait: add a sweet ending to the meals! Overall we had a very enjoyable...
