My husband and I wanted to have some chilean food since we were in the area . We have visited Chile and have tasted the lovely cuisine and also have some friends from that country here. We were hungry and almost tasting the food before we got there. However, the food we ordered turned out to be of poor quality, except the chicken empanadas, which were ok, the tamales, tasteless , and appear to be just put together without any appealing shape. The corn and chicken pie was a disaster , very anappealing color almost green ,it seemed more like a chowder, not a pie , the authentic pie is drier and can be cut into thick slices. did not see any sign of the beef, your tomato salad made with hard and colorless tomatoes , they were not ripe . I am sorry but it was a very dissapointing experience. I am sure the sweets were nice but we did not get any. Coffee needs improving. This is a well intended opinion, since we have travelled all over Southamerica and know about the...
Read moreEmpanada filling has been reduced significantly over the years, bought 5 today and all have less filling than a meat pie. Mayonnaise used for churasco has been substituted for a home made type sauce which completely changes the churasco taste and does not resemble whole egg mayonnaise.
I will be making my own empanadas and own churascos at home given they want to make money from inflation issues at the cost of taste and fulfilment of customers.
I have been coming for over 14 years to this place and the experience is always the same, service agents look like they want to go home and are never smiling or happy to greet a customer. Maybe 10 years ago things were better and more happy but in the last 6-8 years it ways feels like they want you out before you even walked in.
The only thing they have going for them is traditional bread.
Cakes are always frozen, also all of the pastry is as well before they use it. Nothing here is as fresh as you would...
Read moreMy parents have been going here for a very long time and I travel all the way from newcastle to buy food here. This time was different, we were very disappointed. They normally spend at least $300 and drive back to Newcastle to share with friends and family. Only to be surprised that when they got back home to try everything with my family, we where all so dissapinted, everything was different,..from taste, to size, to quality. This time was on Mother's Day and that's why they wanted to bring back all this yummy food home. We have always looked forward to eating Paula's food, best in the business normally. Don't know what happened ? But it tasted like a complete different recipe or a different cook. They bought such a huge range of food, from cakes, to breads ,to sweets, and loads of empanadas (which one of the trays went mouldy the following day in the fridge) every other time it has been amazing. So it's hard to write this review,...
