Pennant Hills Heritage Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

I am giving this cafe and the owner only one star for everything that happened today. I was basically refused Service today!!!! All I wanted was a coffee…???? And plus the treatment that I received from an answer to my very polite and simple review. I recently wrote a review, I was being very polite online. I am an educated woman, I am a Psychiatrist, this owner told me to take my medication!!!! This is defaming my character. Wow, that was incredible!!!! This is a very rude response, and I don’t need to take any medication but because I am a trained psychiatrist, I am recommending the exact same thing that he told me the owner should start taking his medication again!!!! I could see a lot of anger in him today, and this would normally require some ANTI PSYCHOTIC MEDICATION!!!!! (You don’t seem very well lately) Please go back to your doctor, and see your Psychiatrist!!!! (I am responding to you, in the same way that you respond to me.) So go jump in the lake!!! I have many more words for you, as the owner of this cafe but, I am choosing to be the much better person here. I am NOT communicating with you in a very abusive manner, not the same way that you Communicated with me!!!! I AM A MUCH BETTER PERSON THAN YOU ARE!!!! The words that you used online recently were very abusive!! You should know, that you come across as a very horrifically abusive person because of the wording that you have chosen in your response to me. I went in today to order a coffee and I was spoken to by the owner, in such a disrespectful manner that I just walked out and this was the best decision I’ve made in a long time. I now refuse to go back ever!!! Who refuses to serve a coffee??? I simply wanted to discuss the service that I received the last time that I was in this cafe and I was in fact willing to remove the review. (Bring the better, and more mature, person here) We are all adults here, well, I know that am a mature adult. …..how about you?? After today’s service, I will not remove any review at all. Ever!! The last time that I went to this cafe, I was telling them about my allergies, I felt that the owner refused to listen, by turning his back on me!!!! This was incredibly rude. All you had to say was, “excuse me I am just a bit busy, I can take your order and listen to you very soon”

I was not rude to you at all, the fact that you accused me of this was incredible,…. What was the point of this remark?? There was no need to accuse me of this in the post that you made when you were answering me. So as everyone does I wrote a review as a customer I have every right to do so. If this upsets you, or if you take this personally, then maybe you are in the wrong industry???? The response from the owner, was a very uneducated response to a review that was truly based on helping the business, and done in a very polite manner. I have always been very polite you,….. The response that you gave will probably ruin your business, and I know that the shops are in fact closing - down within the area, that you have your business, but, This is never an excuse to be extremely rude to me, or anyone, especially older ladies that are 60 to eighty or above. A family member had a very successful business when I was growing up, I learnt a lot about having your own business, and how to treat customers. This abusive response, is NEVER the way to handle anything as grown adults. The response to my review was very intimidating, Harassing, threatening and I felt very bullied by what I read online. If you're a coffee lover, you absolutely have to check out this coffee shop. From the moment you step inside, the cozy atmosphere invites you to relax and unwind. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about coffee, which really shines through in every cup they serve.

Go somewhere else. Interestingly the reviews of this place mentioned rudeness of staff. I agree with this. We were very polite but the guy behind the counter shouted at us when we sent back milk that was supplied to my sister, even though I had asked him for no milk with anything for her. The pear & raspberry bread, I suspect was days old. Very stale.

And the reply to this review from the owner says that he shouted at his staff. That is not true. He shouted inside the cafe and although he wasn’t looking at us, the words were intended for us snd the entire cafe to hear. Also, this cafe needs to update themselves on allergy awareness.
