I moved from Parramatta to Broken Bay.
If you are looking for a Catholic Church that shows reverence to the Holy Eucharist in the Northern Beaches area, most of the churches here put the Holy Eucharist on the side. More than 60% of the students and congregation have no idea that it's a sin to talk infront of the tabernacle.
There is a hospital CHAPLAINCY but sadly the Catholic Priest do not offer sacraments, esp anointing of the sick. I requested this on Tuesday morning. I'm already discharged Saturday afternoon. No Catholic Priest came. Only a lay person came to visit.
Lay people orders Priests around in one of my experience and the Priest follows the lay person. Once I saw the Priest sit and let lay people distribute the Body of our Lord.
Occult practices are also allowed and Priests dont wear their habit.

Read moreThe sudden decision to close St Cecilia’s Catholic Primary School (Kindergarten to Year 4) in Balgowlah, a much-loved 95-year-old school, made without any consultation with parents, carers, or the parish, has left our community shocked and deeply disappointed. For decades, St Cecilia’s has been more than a school – it has been a faith-filled home, nurturing children academically, spiritually, and emotionally.
As grandparents, we are dismayed not only by the lack of transparency but also by the absence of genuine pastoral care in this process. Closing a 95-year-old Catholic school without dialogue disregards the trust and sacrifices of families, staff, and parishioners.
We strongly urge the archdiocese to reconsider this decision, and at the very least to engage openly with the community so that parents, carers, and parishioners can be more involved in the process. Together, we could explore alternatives that would allow St Cecilia’s to continue serving future generations.

Read moreSadly, our experience with the leadership of the Diocese of Broken Bay is one of deep disappointment. The sudden closure of St Cecilia's in Balgowlah has been made worse by the lack of genuine consultation and accountability by the executive leadership team, poor planning and communication, and lack of respect for the school community, staff and children. Under this current leadership, it is clear they are perfectly happy to sacrifice current families and not even attempt to rebuild trust for their long term "strategic" vision. The way they have conducted themselves makes me concerned that other school communities will be treated the same in the future. This is no reflection on the wonderful CSBB teachers who we greatly admire...
