Pittwater Sushi — Restaurant in Sydney

I had high hopes for this sushi spot given the number of positive reviews, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations. When we arrived, the sushi train was mostly stocked with chicken and avocado rolls - each one overloaded with mayonnaise. It was honestly a bit off-putting, we ended up having to scrape most of it off just to enjoy the sushi.

On the plus side, the staff were friendly and attentive, which we appreciated. However, there was also a sign encouraging people to leave a 5-star review in exchange for a free drink, which makes you question how authentic some of the ratings might be.

I love Pittwater Sushi and rate it highly for the food and the service. Have been coming here since it opened and am still satisfied.

My only criticism is the audio entertainment! Recently, they've switched from playing a sort of classic-hits radio station (which was fine), to an AI-generated music station that plays really awful "songs" generated by a computer. It sounds like real music at first, then you realise it isn't. This is presumably to save money (royalties) but it's really off-putting and annoying for people who notice and listen to music. We were on the way to another sushi place, and saw this place and thought let's try this place. Well glad we stopped, sushi is freshass, lots of varieties, reasonable prices, being sushi train best thing was that the seating is not too close like other places, which made it more roomy. Well, wish they move down deewhy to manly. Worth the trek up to Mona for this place....
