I visited this morning and had a rather disappointing experience. Upon arriving to check out the sandwiches, I noticed a staff member with red hair named Hollie (I'm being very specific so you can avoid the displeasure of being served by her). I sensed her unwillingness to assist me right from the start; however, since there was no other employee available nearby, I unfortunately had to deal with her. I ordered a sandwich and a regular small mocha. Instead, I received a large iced mocha. Alright, mistakes happen; I won't judge her for getting my order wrong. The real issue arose when I politely informed her about the mistake: she rolled her eyes and gave me a look that suggested I was the one in the wrong, not her. After that, she simply said "okay" and walked away, leaving me waiting for the correct coffee that never arrived. Eventually, I approached the counter to speak with her. She looked at me with a smirk and made faces while laughing and stepping away. Finally, another staff member replaced my coffee while Hollie continued to shirk her responsibilities. In other words, staff member Hollie treated me with such reluctance from the beginning that she not just messed up my order, but on the top of that, when I addressed it, she mocked me. This girl clearly hates her job and has no respect...
Read moreWe go there for the fresh juices which are great. However, the service at the cafe is appalling. I go there almost every day. I see the same faces, and i say good morning and smile (as anyone would) and all of them are unpleasant and grumpy, let alone any kind of personalised interaction because i am a regular customer. I could take it personally except on observation and from the feedback from other people I know, they have the same experience. I feel that it couldn't possibly be that each of them are that dissatisfied with life and that there may be an issue coming from management. People go to Flannery's because they are concerned about health and wellbeing, and are seeking positive interactions with other people. Unfortunately it's an unpleasant experience and it shouldn't be. Aside from that, i had to wait 20mins for my juice while they did some washing up. Staff need a pep talk and an attitude change, or management need to create an environment where there staff are actually happy...
Read moreI had the same experience as LU today. At around 12:30 I ordered a sandwich (not toasted) and a cappuccino to go. The employee took my money and got the sandwich, then she set about taking two other people’s orders and writing notes. I moved closer and closer to the counter so that the girl could see I was still waiting. I waited what felt like 10 minutes. I’m sure she could sense that I was now standing very close to the counter. Eventually I asked for my coffee – she said it was coming but she was making no attempt to make it and she went to talk to another lady behind the counter – both were chatting – I was still waiting. I asked again and again she said it was coming. This was not a good experience and this girl was definitely not customer service orientated. I eventually got my coffee, when I got to the car and opened my coffee it was cold and only half full. I suspect this...
