Pritchard's Hotel — Restaurant in Sydney

Dark clouds we could have avoided at Mount pritchards hotel on Saturday 02/01/2021 at 5:17 pm but that's not human nature. Our day was ruined by the management (Corine Pintley) and some guy that said he is the licensee of the hotel (Louie Elia). My children and I went to have dinner at pritchards pub, and was refused entry because of slushies. The kids were always allowed to take slushies in pritchards pub on previous visits. On this occasion we were asked to wait outside while he showed us the recent policy that shushies are no longer allowed in the venue. Louie the licensee came back and told me the cops are on their way and you are no longer allowed in my premises. He did not offer us any resolution like for example, you can leave the slushies outside if you wish to enter. He just abruptly said "you and your children are banned from entering pritchards hotel". I was disgusted as to what kind of human banned children in a venue for slushies. While we were waiting for Louie to show us the policy, a security guard arrived and he appeared to be starting his shift about 5:20pm and the manager (Corine Pintley) told him, " Don't let these people in". The security guard then start shouting " you must leave now" i said to him " please don't touch me" and he said f... off repeatedly. My 14 year old was standing next to me and replied why are you swearing at my dad for? Then after Louie the licensee came and said you and your children are banned from coming here. I waited for the police to arrived for about 15 minutes and thought the cops usually takes ages to arrived, so I left the scene. Now I come to think about it, it's definitely because am black. My message to Louie Elia the licensee of pritchards hotel and Corine Pintley the manager this behaviour have to stop and especially to children lets teach our children something better, after all we...

Mid renovations, the place is going to look amazing when its finally complete. Which i heard should be October. The rooms were clearly done first, very modern and quite flashy considering the location. Unfortunately, the wear and tear is starting to show. Some handles were lose and the shower head needs a touch up. The hot water took quite some time to come through, but once it did it was perfect. Bed was nice and comfy, not too soft but not hard like some others. New gaming room, looks flashy but with it right at the entrance, the overwhelming smell of smoke and various smells really hits you at the door. If that doesn't worry you, the group of middle aged men standing outside with beer glasses may. Overall. The service was lovely, I was greeted by a nice woman, who showed me how to get it to the rooms through the construction. I was lucky to be able to enjoy some peace and quiet after a long day of driving. However. No welcome drink offered, WiFi was not provided and no mention of the breakfast packs offered during a previous stay. Disappointing, but I was too tired to walk back down and find someone. Absolutely infuriated with management!!! We called to make a booking and had to fill out all information online and obviously give my bank details so they could take the booking fee. In that form it DID not state in the policy’s that we had to pay and extra $200 for bond. We drove over an hour to get to this hotel as we had to see a sick family member last minute. We are from Canberra and drove out from Bondi to this place. They showed us the policy’s and i re-read it. Of course we were right and it was not stated. The manager just said ‘yeah I don’t know why it isn’t but you still have to pay’. I’m heavily pregnant and unfortunately they took all the money I left in my account for this day. So it’s either my partner and I sleep in our car until we figure something out or head back to Canberra. I get the whole bond needed for silly people but if we were informed and If it was stated we would not have chose this place. So now it’s 10:14pm and I’m currently doing a 3 or so hour drive back in the dark super uncomfortable. Not happy at all. Will not ever go there again and do not recommend this dingy place.
