Having been here twice for lunch now, I feel their dishes may be a little inconsistent in quality and portion size. My first visit I had Pad See Ew with Chicken (pictured) and came by myself, and the second visit I had their Scallop Fried Rice while my daughter had Egg Fried Rice and my wife had an Eggplant and Beef dish. The Pad See Ew was very good, fresh, hot, tasty, good portion size also. Wish it did have a little more vegetable, and also, very bad juju to be serving on chipped plates with big chunks of broken ceramic. The second visit though, the Scallop Rice was very disappointing, small amount of rice, the number of scallops were ok, but they were undercooked, nearly actually raw. Possibly too afraid of being overcooked, they went under. The Egg Fried Rice was very dry, however my wife's Eggplant dish was excellent and a huge portion, which is why I feel their quality and consistency is a bit all over. I'd still be happy to come again and try more, but lower the expectation bar personally..

If you’re looking for authentic Thai food at a reasonable price, this restaurant is a must-visit. The menu offers a variety of traditional dishes, from Tom Yum soup to Pad Thai, all bursting with flavor. The ingredients are fresh, and the spices are perfectly balanced, delivering an authentic taste of Thailand. The portions are generous, and the presentation is simple yet appetizing. The atmosphere is cozy, with warm lighting and friendly staff who are happy to recommend dishes. Prices are surprisingly affordable, making it an excellent choice for both casual dining and small gatherings. Whether you’re a fan of spicy curries or refreshing mango sticky rice, this place won’t disappoint. Highly recommended!

I was driving past Berala and did not expect to find a Thai restaurant, so I decided to try it out. To my surprise, it was quite delicious. I ordered a Pad Thai, Drunken noodles, curry puffs, fried soft shell crab and a Thai milk tea. The curry puffs' pastry was soft and flaky, resembling almost a croissant. I really enjoyed it. The only reason I give it a 4/5 star is because the beef was a bit too hard and chewy for my liking. Other than that, it was a great feed.

Pure Thai has a reputation of nice, delicious food at good prices. Other reviews throw even more superlatives describing how good it is.

However, tonight was lacking. Very lacking. Why? The short version was that my friends and I arrived, as a group of three, at 6:17pm. We got our entrees at 6:30pm, followed by Pineapple Fried Rice, my plain boiled rice, and stir fried vegetables with rice noodles at 6:40pm. However, we had waited until 7:15pm to get my order, which was the duck and stir fried vegetables in Oyster sauce. So I had rice sitting there, waiting for its accompanying main, from 6:40 - 7:15pm. Note that between 6:17pm - 6:55pm there was only us, a deserted table with the leftovers of diners who had left earlier, and a few Uber Eats and Menu Log orders being assembled.

We also asked for no MSG in the duck dish. There was clearly MSG in it.

When we asked where my dish was at 6:55pm, we also stated that we had been waiting for while. The waitress serving us then went to check what had happened. One of my friends saw one of the chefs look over the divider at our table. A lot of back and forth ensued between the chefs. To us, it was clear that they had forgotten.

When my duck dish finally did arrive, we asked what had happened. The waitress had said that there was a mix-up ie they had forgotten.

We expressed our dismay and irritation in as calm a matter as was possible. To be fair, the waiters were apologetic but clearly had no idea how to use their computer system to apply discounts, take items off their orders etc. This didn't help matters. If we didn't complain, I'm sure we'd still be there now at 8:08pm waiting for my duck stir fry in Oyster sauce!

It's a shame though. The food was...

I'm a regular customer here but after the incident happened tonight and I decided not to come back again. I ordered my usual favourite pad see ew and when I was half way enjoying the food, I found a COCKROACH LEG on the chilli. Then I went to tell the waitress and she came back with rediculous explanation that it was the vegetable roots. Hello, I didn't know any vegetable roots can bend 45deg like cockroach leg. I was upset because the older lady did not admit it was cockroach leg and claim that I'm just trying to get a second meal for free but I did not get any replacement because I have no appetite after seeing cockroach leg In my noodle. Super regret did not took any picture of the cockroach leg because I was the regular there and I trusted them enough to give me the right treatment but I was wrong. End up she even said I'm trying to take advantages. We paid almost full price without any apology from them and being discriminate as advantage seeker. Really disappointed. Never return again. The customer service that I received was poor.

Dear all, please wear a glasses before you eat your food here. This is not the first time I found "extra ingredient" from my order. Previously was fine hair from the chef. They have some issue with the hygiene of their food. And this time the way they treated me was too much and I'm sharing this just to avoid another unlucky customer who got treated...

I only go here mainly because I'm too lazy to go far out for proper good thai, and because it's always been several months/a year from my last trip here that I forget how horrible it always is. Every time I order here, I always regret it.

VERY slow service. Subpar food.... why i give them so many chances ill never know but hopefully this review will remind me why. Tonight i ordered take out, took a seat as requested by the person who took our order, no specification on how long it would take for our food which would be fine if it didnt take so long. Waited 30 mins+ for TWO dishes (veggie tofu pad see ew and seafood basil fried rice) and when we went up to ask how much longer the wait would be, they were all confused. Our food was on the table for who knows how long. No communication between staff. No effort to see if the people who ordered were there. Eye contact was avoided, and no apology given.

After we get home, I taste the food. Pad see ew has no wok taste, it's pretty much mushy rice noodles and no pad see ew flavour. I could do this at home because I'm sure they actually use only soy sauce to flavour. Plus they include a lemon wedge? That changes the flavour completely of pad see ew, and is for pad thai! The seafood basil fried rice had TWO prawns, and plenty of rubbery/chewy calamari. Also flavoured blandly.

TLDR; slow service, poor food, much ragrets....
