R cafe & restaurant — Restaurant in Sydney

The food is superb when Roshan cooks and only (very) good when Rodger cooks (the two Rs that form the cafe's eponymous name). Of particular note, is their CHICKEN CAESAR SALAD WHICH IS THE BEST I'VE EVER HAD IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. Not sure why it doesn't work as well with the smoked salmon; maybe s.s.'s too cold?? I also love their CORN FRITTERS. The c.f.s taste like souffle heaven. I told Rodger they should re-name it; it will change people's expectation of it, probably increase the dish's interest and they can charge more for it! I also love that they have 'proper' warm food at any time, not just your typical bacon-and-eggs' fry-ups. Like most cafes on the ground floor of apartment buildings, their prices are extremely cheap. It probably reflects the lower-rent costs associated with less foot traffic. Their outdoor tub chairs are actually perfect - looks good/modern, extremely comfortable, light-weight with holes in them so they can be easily moved around, weather-proof and stackable! So I had a MAJOR coffee emergency at home, we ran out 😩. Decided to grab coffee from this cafe right next to my place, got a large mocha and a cappuccino. The coffee was perfect, but the cherry on top was that little biscuit they give with it, so DAMN BUTTERY. My partner asked me to get more, so i galloped my way back to the store to buy a bag of those perfect lil biscuits. ALSO shoutout to the barista, very good customer service. Terrible and rude service. I placed my order and waited for much longer than necessary. The barista served the only other customer after me. When I enquired about my order, he said he's just making it now. I asked why. He said the other mans order was easier. I asked for a refund and was met with an immature "whatever". I ordered 2 cappuccinos and a babyccino. If that order is hard in an empty cafe, you shouldn't be making coffees.
