Camperdown Park — Attraction in Sydney

Peaceful and pleasant park located near ACU student dorms and some fantastic cafes. Great dog park, there's bubblers and a water bowl for pets. There's tennis courts, and I work out set, play equipment for the kiddos, and an oval. The bathrooms are well maintained and clean with loads of bins, and it's a popular location for professional fitness trainers and their clients. The fitness equipment is functional — pull-up bars, bicycles and and a sit up bench. It's close to Sydney University and St Vincent's hospital. I love to come here for workouts.

My only criticism is that there aren't many areas that are covered for when it rains. Some of the park benches, as well as the fitness park, are completely exposed to the elements, making for a less than perfect experience in the heat or rain.

Oh yes, the BBQ facilities. Very good, clean, there are at least 2 spots where you can BBQ. I've been thinking about hosting a BBQ here for ages but of course, weather conditions will have...

This park is a great example of how city planners are thinking of the mental health of the inhabitants of the surrounding neighbourhood. As well as a comprehensive variety of sporting facilities such as tennis courts, cricket/football field and walking paths dotted with stretching and strength building equipment, there is an extensive gardening plot area and refreshment kiosk. These serve to bring people, who might otherwise be isolated, together to share a common interest and conversation. It grows a variety of fruits and vegetables so participants (and non participants, for a fee ) may enjoy fresh vegetables which they might otherwise not...

Camperdown Park primarily serves locals who come here for exercise, sports, and dog walking. While it’s not specifically designed for young children, there’s open space for them to run around, and a small playground. including a tennis field and oval for sport people.

There’s a small carpark with limited spots, but street parking is available Whether you’re a local looking for a green escape or a visitor seeking a quiet spot, Camperdown Park offers a peaceful respite in the heart of the city. Came and enjoy with family or friends...
