I've been to a couple of other Rashays restaurants and I've always appreciated their great customer service and good food. But today was a disappointment. Where do I start? I was the first to arrive to the restaurant from my group of friends. The place was virtually empty but when I asked for a table for 8 I was told by one of the staff that I had to wait for the table to be set. I waited by the doorway with a cold winter breeze coming through and 2 kids in tow for almost 10 minutes and the lady walked passed me twice in that time without acknowledging me or updating me. Another waitstaff (she was actually very polite and nice) came to me and told me to follow her. She took me to a table that seats 4. I told her I needed a table for 8 as I was waiting for a few people to arrive. She then took me to a bigger table. Clearly, they did not communicate with each other. I noticed one table with dirty plates on it. Some indian myna birds had flown in and were pecking from the plates. The other staff member saw the birds but didn't think to clear the plates. I should have known to leave then but then one of my friends arrived with her kids. The staff member asked if we wanted to order but I told her we were still waiting for another person to arrive. We told her we wanted to order the kids' meals but just had to call our friend to ask for her kids' orders. She turned away and we didn't see her again for a long time. Once everyone was there we tried to get the attention of staff to order but it's like they disappeared. It took way too long to take our order. A waitstaff finally came and we all placed our orders (chicken schnitzels, caesar salad with grilled chicken, salads and a few kids meals). She then informed us that they'd had a very busy morning and had run out of chicken schnitzel. Seriously??? It was only 12:30pm and the place only had 3 tables seated. The lady came back about 5 minutes later to inform us that they'd run out of grilled chicken too. So we ended up ordering the steak, one medium, one medium-well and one well done. Kids meals arrived within 20 minutes but our food arrived about 40 minutes later. The steaks came with cute little flags to let us know how they were cooked but were all cooked incorrectly. The medium was blue, medium-well and well were rare. Two steak meals were left cut but not eaten and one was eaten around the edges. A small group of businessmen that were sitting behing us finished eating and left shortly after we ordered. Their table was not cleared for over an hour. There were 4 waitstaff that I could see, no more than 4 tables at any one time ( I don't think that there were more than 25 people served in the restaurant and a couple of pick-up orders in the two hours we were there, including our table). There wasn't any interaction with staff throughout our meal. We weren't asked if we needed anything else, if we wanted dessert, if we enjoyed our meals. Clearly, from looking at our plates they should have known something was wrong. One staff member came by and picked up the kids' plates but they didn't return to pick up the other plates. They're probably still sitting there hours later. My friend went to pay but there weren't any pleasantries exchanged there either. The man (he couldn't even crack a smile) rang up the bill and plonked it down on the counter. It felt like he wasn't interested in working, that what he was doing was a major chore. Went today(02/10/19) with my girlfriend and her family, a group of 7. We were served by two girls(one blond&one dark hair) Basically, we were asked multiple times whether we want to order in the first 5mins of our entrance. It gave us impression that the staff are very attentive and caring as well as they are demanding and impatient.
Here are few things that went wrong: 1.No one was attentive to clean our table since the beginning to the end. Our desserts were brought out to our table while all the dirty plates are all around us so we needed to ask them to clean them.
Multiple requests were made on more waters,more plates, more menus, more cutleries but verbal answer 'yes' was heard but none of the action part was done so I had to go to front desk multiple times to grab them for the service.
$3 ice cream dessert image in the menu. In the image(attached) there are two scoops with different toppings on each scoop one being strawberry the other being chocolate. We asked whether we can do the same but the floor staff said no it is this or that unlike the picture in the menu which implies lack of flexibility and incorrect presentation of the dessert. This is only a little thing but since we were so disappointing with our experience by then, even this subtle imperfection made us think about the quality of this place.
Considering it was on a quiet weekday, the service we received was very poor. The floor staff's attitude were on the floor. But we would not mind about their attitude too much as long as the jobs are get done but even this fundamental role of their were not fulfilled.
While paying at the front desk, the owner asked how our meal was and I made a 'so so' hand gesture and did not go on with our thought as it could take our time and feeling, and continuing our happy time was more important than whinging about our bad experience.
But I wanted to make sure that I would come back to this review so the owner as well as others who is planning to visit this place could be better prepared. Although the food was nice since the service was poor so the overall experience was not cool.
I would probably go back their for their 10bucks lunch deal but would not definetely go back for dinner while there are other nice similar franchises such as Pancakse on the rocks or Outback steak house where good food and service is almost always guaranteed with the...

The night shift supervisor/manager who appears to look like a white older man, slim tall wearing glasses (photo attached), is extremely rude, inhospitable, unaccommodating and a racist and a sexist with his bad behaviour exhibited towards me a female delivery driver. He’s made me, a female delivery driver, wait more than 20 minutes for all of my delivery orders at the Rashays Liverpool (Hume Highway) store, while he has instructed staff including another white blonde girl to complete servicing of 10 other customers and another delivery driver, while deliberately making me wait for my orders. This girl was rather hostile, rude with very poor customer service and inadequate people skills, and she didn't complete preparing my delivery orders in a timely manner and was argumentative about packaging the food and drinks items securely inside paper bags for delivery. This male white manager and his poorly trained staff have failed, deliberately and recklessly, to package all of the food and drinks items in paper bags to avoid drinks spillage in delivery driver vehicles on the way to driving to customers. This man has been incorrectly instructing staff not to put drinks in paper bags. While all other restaurants put all food and drinks items properly packaged inside bags, this man is providing reckless unresponsible service while being a trouble maker creating inconveniences for delivery drivers. There was some form of malice directed at me from this man. This complaint is to the Rashays senior management to take disciplinary action against this man at the Liverpool (Hume Highway) store and to ensure that delivery orders with food and drinks are properly packaged inside paper bags to avoid spillage and that delivery orders are prepared in a timely manner without creating inconveniences for delivery drivers and to ensure that he and his staff don’t discriminate against delivery drivers in the future. If the abusive behaviour by this manager and his poorly trained staff continue towards delivery drivers, formal complaints will be made to the Food Standards Australia New Zealand Authority for breaches of the Food Safety Practices and General Requirements and Foods Standards Code, which will be raised to the independent...
