A much better dining experience than I expected. Set near a set of escalators in the middle of a busy Westfields shopping centre I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food (I had the Chief's Salad) and the fast professional service. It appears to be quite popular and after eating there I can see why. Interestingly they have a separate children's area on the other side of the escalators which was a positive. The only downside I found was that the tables in the area we sat at were a little too close to each other. I would be quite content to eat there again.

Classic cafe menu features breakfast and lunch items, daily specials along with coffee and cakes. No fancy plating but with generous portions. šŸ™‚ Their pasta dish can be a hit or miss. Sometimes you get al dente pasta in a rich full bodied sauce but sometimes they taste like home cooking or food court quality. šŸ™„ But one thing is always consistent is their service. Staff is always courteous and friendly, from taking your order, serving the food to fixing your bill, they always serve you with a big friendly smile. 😊

We are frequent visitors here and are always impressed how ever this morning i ordered a pancakes with strawberries and syrup $14.95 ( these turned out amazing) . When trying to order a side of eggs for my daughter i was told they couldnt be added to the pancakes and i would need to purchase a whole meal of $11 for eggs on toast ?seems a bit ridiculous when we just want a side of eggs which is clearly an option on the menu, waitresses were lovely but the kitchen werent willing to budge on this

My girlfriend and I decided to eat at Rubyniks today (21st June 2019, at around 2pm), as we’ve eaten here before and have had wonderful experiences and had lovely food. However, on this instance our visit was absolutely appalling and I hate to say it, but quite frankly the worst hospitality experience I have ever had. We sat down at our booth, and didn’t need to look at the menu as we already knew what we were going to eat. We were greeted by our waiter (didn’t catch her name, however she was tall with dark hair, tanned skin, and looked of Asian/South American ethnicity) who took my girlfriend’s order first (Chicken and Mushroom Risotto), and then asked what I wanted to order. I asked for the same, but without mushroom and onions. The waitresses’ response was absolutely disgusting, to which she stared at me in silence for around 5 seconds before responding ā€œso you just want chicken and riceā€ in an incredibly condescending and judgemental tone. I have an allergy to mushroom and onion and don’t feel like having to explain myself every time I go to eat, so the fact that she was straight out rude to her customer regardless of the circumstance is absolutely disgusting. To top this off, she then turned to my girlfriend and said to her ā€œso you eat yours like a normal person?ā€ and then proceeded to walk off. Another waitress brought out our food and we went to eat it, however I only ate half of it due to the food on this occasion not being to standard - I understand that this happens sometimes in this environment and I was okay with this. HOWEVER, when our original waitress returned to take our plates, she looked at mine and again in an awful tone said to me ā€œyou only ate half because there’s no flavour left from taking them out?ā€ (or something to that effect, I can’t remember specifically because I was so taken back this again). I’m not one to make negative reviews - or even reviews in general - but for this instance I couldn’t let this go without bringing it to the attention of both management and...

Ate there today for the first time in 18 months, as we thought it we’d re-try it after having a poor experience previously, but alas it was a repeat experience. As a Coeliac, my order had to be a variation on the menu (no pre-existing GF items listed on the menu), which was fine in terms of the staff being accommodating. I ordered a Hawaiian Melt (ham, cheese, pineapple) on gluten free bread, they couldn’t make Coeliac friendly chips (fair enough) and that came with a ā€˜side salad’. What I received for $16.95 was a slice of pineapple, a couple of slices of ham, some cheese, on one small piece of gluten-free bread (would have lucky to have been 8x9 cm) with a side salad that was made up of old and browning lettuce. Of course I’m appreciative they had any GF options but for $16.95 it should have been 2x the melts, especially when the table next to us ordered a wrap and chips for $19.95 from the same section of the menu, sure that is $3 more but I shouldn’t have received half their amount of food. Further, if I had not been Coeliac and had received just one slice of bread with the Hawaiian toppings I’d still feel shortchanged, more so though in my case as gluten free bread is often smaller than a ā€˜cafe slice’ bread. Let’s just say there won’t be a next time for us, and yes they shouldn’t have got a...

Dear Rubyniks Miranda Team,

We’ve been loyal and frequent customers of your cafĆ© for well over a decade and have always appreciated the atmosphere and quality of your coffee. However, during our recent visits, both my partner and I have noticed a significant decline in the quality of the coffee being served. Unfortunately, it was so unpleasant on our last visit that neither of us could finish our drinks.

When my partner politely raised the issue with the barista, she was quickly dismissed and told that ā€œnothing has changed.ā€ This response felt dismissive, especially considering we've been regulars for many years and are very familiar with the consistency and standard of your coffee.

We don’t normally leave negative reviews, but after trying to reach out to the cafĆ© via the disconnected phone number listed online and receiving no response, we feel compelled to share our concerns. Sadly, due to both the drop in quality and the lack of openness to customer feedback, we’ve made the decision not to return.

We are disappointed as Rubyniks has long been a favorite of ours, but we believe good service includes listening to loyal customers when concerns arise.

Sincerely,

Sandra and...
