I am surprised and merely in shock of such a well known franchise desert restaurant presenting in their * way Spanish style churos * but it's far and beyond not even close too it.
I ordered through uber eats too accommodate my children and I during this cold winters evening to celebrate my sons 6 year old birthday, I paid a substantial amount of $$ which could have been in my favour 1 adult & 2 small children a full meal and desert with drinks at our local pub. Over $73.00 with uber. ( I'm fully aware, Uber make additional commission ontop of this value) regardless for a desert place it's extremely expensive. But on this special occasion I wanted to give my children something special and as a previous customer of many years I thought this would be just great and well suited for that larger price value to which I paid.
To say I am disgusted would be an understatement.
Our hot chocolate, small was $11.00 each !!! 1 with lactose free milk additional cost of 50c .. there was no written indication of which hot chocolate was what and I had too sip both cups to identify which hot drink was in fact mine. I'm very lactose intolerant and I'm beyond frustrated too have too risk my health because of a simple task that could have been completed by your Barista.
Not only this, the lactose hot chocolate of $11.50 was 3/4 empty... hello ? Where is the rest of my hot drink I paid so expensive dollars for. As I'm uber it's not like I can go to the counter to get this fixed. I asked for the lactose one too be extra hot. I got Luke warm, with looks like someone drank some of it... now it tastes like I'm drinking a babies bottle of Luke warm milk.. disgusting, especially now the chocolate is so over powering the Luke warm milk..
I got a child churos pack. Than I also ordered x3 churos for 1 with an additional 3 on the side. $25.00 + I asked for half sugar and half something else. Well I got a sprinkle if that of icing sugar completely the opposite of what was asked and documented on the receipt order.
While taking a bite of this cold , not warm, not hot ( priority order paid extra for it) but cold and stale like... I bit into it and almost had to check if I ordered beef jurkey or churos.. it was like biting into cold, stale, crispy beef jurkey. Each gulp it's sliding down my throat like razor blades it's that crispy and stale.
The x3 macaroons purchased were in a paper bag ( why you would put a soft, easy desert in a bag is beyond me ?) So of course naturally it's squashed.. so at $4.00 each x3 the one I got my 2 year old is squashed and coming all apart.
The saddest part of all this, we as customers don't want too complain and provide bad reviews, but it's extremely hard to live and times are tough, we being I worked hard for that $70+ dollars and deserve to have the product be almost perfect for what it's worth.
It's not good enough, poor management, it was late over all, staff don't follow instructions ... who's too blame ? The owner and management are useless. Get your acts together... you may have a well known brand and be at Macarthur square but your customer experiences are not good and I am no longer a supporting customer.

Read moreAt about 3:30pm on Thursday22nd May 2025. My wife and attended this store. I waited at counter to get served.a female employee was making coffees. For a lady near where I was standing at the counter. The female person, then paid for order then walked out side seat where a young female was seated. I was waiting to be served when a male with a bearded just came up and the female employee started to serve him I said excuse me I have been waiting hear I can’t stand to long. The employee then said I thought you had been served. This male then walked away and sat down at a table I placed my order and went and sat a a table as 4 females had finished the table was not clean had cups and was very thirty sugar chocolate on table this table had back supports for my back and my wife’s back I asked an employee could she please clean the table as she had taken cups and dishes of table. She said yes I will come back in a minute. She never returned.
Then she brought the order over I again asked if she could please clean the table she said yes then walked back behind the counter I tried to make contact with an employee behind the counter she just turn her head away.
Staff very rude didn’t want to clean the table quite discussing how the table was and we just needed to sit at a very DIRTY TABLE there was another staff employee sitting at a table looking at her phone there was another. Came in and went behind the counter back hair in a ponytail about 27 years old then came out and started talking to the male with a beard that they where going to serve him before me. I tried to get her attention she looked at me I waved hand took no notice what so ever. The shop is a customer service night mare. It wasn’t busy I could understand if it was very busy and I could unstand if we had been rude however when you are just waiting an order and table very tidy and advised I will clean table in a minute never happened.
I had to give 1 star in order to make a comment. Staff very rude would recommend have coffee and chinos. Or coffee at this shop. Cost $22:50 DWAnd F Goulding JP ret Thursday...
Read moreArrived here at 9:20pm last night (closing at 10) there was a sign to say sit and order from your table. First issue was finding a clean table (we didn’t) we sat outside and there was cockroaches all over the tables, chairs and ground, it was horrendously unkept and not just from an evening rush, it was like it hasn’t been cleaned since it opened, also none of the outside lighting was on? It was so dark, which only makes the tables worse as we could see how bad they were in the dark. We headed inside where all the tables and chairs were being packed away (with 40mins left of trading and no clean tables) we sat at a dirty table, We scanned the barcode added items to the cart, input card details and the notification came up that this store was offline. So I went to the counter and placed our order instead. No “hi” “how are you” anything like that just “what can I get you?” I ordered and was very promptly told it’s taken away only. Yep whatever I get it I worked in hospitality you want to minimize washing up. But if you want to clean up in the store make sure that there is adequate clean tables and chairs outside for patrons to sit. Got our order, the churros were fine but they had hardly any cinnamon on them. Definitely won’t be back. Don’t bother with a cop out reply back, put that energy into creating a more inviting atmosphere for your customer. Some of us don’t go out often and when we do and get experiences like the above it just makes us regret...
