Spuds Seafood & Grill — Restaurant in Sydney

I bought fish and chips with a salad from here a few weeks ago and it was pretty nice. Today I ordered the same thing and got a lot less food for the same price from a totally different team of staff who barely spoke English which was made even more difficult to understand from behind their masks. It was kinda like it was everybody’s first day and nobody had any idea what they were doing and what they were doing seems really difficult. I also paid three dollars for a dim sim which was literally half a mouthful of stale plastic. Don’t do it. I had lunch there today and must say it was a huge disappointment. We ordered the snack pack each, which consists of 3 calamari rings, 2 fish cocktails and chips. The pack does not come with complimentary tar tar sauce, the batter on the fish cocktails felt stale and the calamari rings were below average. Everything had a strong oily taste and left a bad after taste. I found myself washing every bite down with Pepsi Max and couldn't finish the meal. Spuds is one of Australia's most unique if not the worlds most unique fish and chip shops (well a good all round Greek sea food shop). Not only can you get the moistest mist perfectly cooked seafood, if your musically keen, you can have a jam session as well. These guys have a few guitars (four string and six string) for clients to have a go with.... Its got blues brothers written all over it, that's Australian style.
