SUSHI-MEE — Restaurant in Sydney

Cant say enough how great Sushimee is and I invite any to come down and try the best restaurant in the local area. Food is always fresh and served quickly, a great variety of choices as well, and the value for money is nothing to scoff at. My partner and I when were feeling lazy and dont feel like cooking dinner love to pop down to Sushimee, so I can highly recommend to others. Must try is the Eel! Alot of people get put off Eel as it isnt normally on western menus but I beg you to try it, it is honestly the best and you will make an effort to search out eel at other Sushi Restaurants. My partner and I's go to is a sushi and sashimi platter and Eel Bento to share, with corkage this is under $100, and I challenge you to try and find another place that boasts better value!

Also I have noticed a few 1 star reviews and they are generally because of third party delivery sites taking a while to deliver food. People please remember this is a sit down restaurant, they are not obligated to hire delivery drivers for your convenience. "Declining service and Declining standard of food over the last 2 years."

I have eaten at this restaurant for several years and can honestly say the service and standards have slipped dramatically.

Asking for serviettes, soy sauces or cutlery/chopsticks seems to be a stretch even after reminding the staff numerous times.

Don't expect to get water at the table or even a glass for each person at the table.

The Teriyaki Salmon (Main meal) is lacking in flavour when compared to the other Japanese restaurant in Hornsby.

Given how many times I have mentioned the the lack of service, nothing changes, they don't seem to care much, which indicates the owner of this business doesn't care either about the customers.

Stay away, and perhaps they will go out of business and someone else will operate this restaurant to a much better standard.

I've refrained from writing a bad review to now. The last 3 visits in Sept - Oct'22 have reinforced the view this business does not deserve my money, especially when a meal for the family is usually around $120- 150...

The staff were super nice and attentive. The food was overall amazing, fresh ingredients, great flavour, and well cooked.

We had Edamame, Agedashi Tofu, Okonomiyaki, Sushi Mee Tempura, and Chicken Yaki Soba.

The Edamame wasn't too heavily salted which is how I like it.

The Agedashi Tofu was cooked just right that the batter wasn't gluggy, but the tofu was still shapely and reasonably firm. Sauce was as you'd expect for Agedashi.

Unfortunately the Okonomiyaki wasn't like what I'm used to, seemed like there was too much cabbage and not enough flour/egg? Regardless it was nice even though it wasn't traditional

The Sushi Mee Tempura was fantastic. I'm super fussy about Tempura and these guys nailed it. Great consistency batter and cooked expertly (light and crisp batter with deliciously juicy vegetables/prawns)

The Chicken Yaki Soba was good, however I wouldn't mind seeing a little more veg involved.
