Food: 2/5 Was expecting decent quality but was disappointed. Ordered the karaage chicken Udon, which was very expensive for the small bowl. The Udon was of a good texture, however the broth was not the traditional soy broth and tasted a bit werid. The chicken was as well, seasoned very strangely and unlikely typical karaage, tasting akin to KFC. The conveyor belt sushi was mediocre, with lots of the sushi having very overwhelming cheese flavours that negated lots of the fish flavour. Furthermore, in comparison of sushi plate prices to other sushi trains, the prices were very high for something staple like salmon and rice.

Service: 4/5 Despite a line, we were seated promptly and was given water and refills when needed. Staff were super friendly and when we ordered handrolls, they came out very fast.

Atmosphere: 3/5 Nice interior decoration

Overall, would not come again unless craving sushi whilst in Dee why. Other places offer...

Unimpressed. As is often the case with Sushi train you write down the number of people in your group and take a number then wait line. This is fine and we went on a weekday for lunch and not in a huge hurry. We were a group of 4 and waited 15 mins to get to the front of the line. We then we're in front for another 15 whilst 3 groups (2 groups of 3 and a group of two) who were behind us were seated before us. We were then told it would be at least another 15mins wait for our group and staff recommend we opt for take away because "it could even be longer with our group size". Don't consider 4 people hard to sit myself as have never had this issue before. It just felt like the organisation could have been waaaayyy better. We opted to just leave and had a great meal in a nearby cafe. There are to many wonderful alternatives in the area so I...

Terrible place. First time experiencing and we were waiting around then escorted to our table which still wasn’t ready when we got there. One of the sushi plates flew off from the train and landed all over our table and the plate ended up on the floor. After our plates were added up to be paid I had a total of 5 plates. The waitress came up and asked if it was my plate on the floor I explained what had happened and how it landed on the floor. When going to pay she had the audacity to add on the extra plate which I never ate even though I told her about the accident the staff and both myself and my cousin experienced. Disgusting service and for the prices I would expect much better. First time and last time here. Try and show respect towards your customers instead of acting...

Have been coming regularly the past year, albeit some were for takeaway with COVID19 restrictions. Now that we can dine-in again, things are back to covid-normal: check in via QR code; better sanitised tables; seatings spread out, therefore, limited the number of customers inside but move pretty quickly (30-40 minutes wait peak dinner time). Sushi are fresh, tasty, as their turnover is fast. Unagi is yum (eel - my fave), hotate (scallops), sashimi. It is a pity they don't have uni (sea urchin). The vegetable tempura undon my partner ordered was delicious, to my surprise. The soup was very well-rounded and perfectly seasoned. Staff were helpful and friendly. Fast with clearing and sanitising areas, very strict with QR registration. Our local Japanese restaurant.

I absolutely love Sushi Train in Dee Why! The quality and freshness of their sushi is outstanding. The variety of sushi rolls and sashimi is impressive, and the presentation is always top-notch. ( the food is always on the top especially when the Japanese head chef is there). My fav is definitely the Salmon Volcano Ship 😋. Highly recommend !! The staff is friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. Whether you’re a sushi aficionado or just looking for a delicious meal, Sushi Train in Dee Why is the place to go. I highly recommend it! they offer both small and large sizes of Ramen, and what’s even better is that they are very affordable. The Ramen here is simply delightful! Will always be back 😘💗💗
