Just thought I’d give you some feedback which I’m sure the club is aware. Came in for dinner (approx 16 people) I was first to order food from the group where the 2 pizzas came in approximately 25 minutes which I thought it was good for the businesses of the place. The pulled pork pizza was crap. 3 inches from the crust was a lump of the ingredients. 25 minutes later my wife and I got the parmigiana which was ok. My kids 2x Nuggets still not arriving and others on our table getting parts of their orders. Went and chased up kids meals and they apologised and received them about 20 minutes after that where I asked about the slider for my last child and was advised it was there. 15 minutes later I went to the kitchen to ask about the slider and the guy said won’t be long. I asked him again and he asked the kitchen and didn’t look like a reply came as I stood there waiting for a reply. I called him again and asked him what was the time on that message you asked the kitchen where he walked around to the kitchen and got a reply and advised me 1 minute where I said I would wait. He asked me to sit down and they would bring it out but while the discussion took place it arrived. Not to go into more details but the other 2 groups there had worse issues, where everyone had completed their food besides one who didn’t get their cheeseburger and after a couple of inquiries it was cancelled.
In conclusion the experience was far from enjoyable but can say it was consistent to when we came a year ago late and missing food.
This place needs some systems in place (that works) A simple method is complete 1 order at a time if they cannot complete multiple orders.
Ps: the little block wall almost tipped over and I advised a guy at the front door who didn’t even come over to see it and I told him it was dangerous. He said he would tell the manager.
For the owners benefit if this doesn’t change I cannot see much repeat...
Read moreEmbarrassing Mate and I ordered the double smash burger - $24 and then to add fries for $5. Fries come in a little cup probably worth $2 and no salt. A steak sandwich with fries is $27. Don't know how that works. But that should mean the meat in the patties is of better quality then the steak, right .... wrong. 1- the patties were not smashed. They were slightly thicker than your quarter pounder patties from maccas. Fine, but they were over cooked, not medium no pink nothing. Just two thick, dry, non smashed patties. Great advertising. It states on the menu "smashed" please change to double cheese burger. 2- the BUN was burnt. Who serves a burnt bun. Seriously it's a bun, throw it out and just toast another one, only takes a couple minutes. Is that standard of your food ? If its burnt, serve. Chief should have pride in the food he cooks. It wasn't busy probably ordered around 5:40ish on a Sunday arvo. Handful of people in the pub. Whats your excuse. I showed this to the lady at the counter, explained what I said above. She said you make your patties in house. I highly doubt that and that ever patty is medium to medium rare cooked, also I highly doubt that. My mate ordered the same, his bun wasn't burnt but he said the same thing straight away, these aren't smashed patties.
At the end of day I paid $30 for something that was worse than McDonald's. Never had a burnt bun from maccas. I thought you guys took pride in doing good burgers. Now I know if I want a burger I can go to any of your competitors probably get a cheaper beer and a...
Read moreSecond time visiting in a week & won't be returning.
Visited last week for a family dinner, we all ordered together & half the group received & finished their meals well before the rest of the food turned up, one being a chewy, cold steak. We flagged with the staff clearing the finished plates & the manager, who were apologetic & so we left it at that. We all did note that the food seems to have gone downhill since our prior visits.
So two of us returned last night, ordered schnitzels with an extra sauce (feedback from our prior visit was that the gravy wasn't great so we didn't want to risk it). Paid for the extra sauce but it didn't arrive. Wasn't overly phased, however when I returned to the counter to ask for another I was given a lecture by the cashier about "being clear when ordering" & received an eye roll when I said I was clear & showed that I had paid for it. The staff clearing plates however were really attentive & polite.
Not sure if we've just had the bad luck of 2 "one-off" bad experiences, but we wont be coming back to give it a third go. Regardless of the confusion on ordering, I don't expect to be given attitude & eye rolled by staff. I work in customer service & there are ways of discussing the confusion without being rude. There are also plenty of other places in Dee Why where you can get a drink & a meal without an attitude, so I'd suggest...
