Further down is my original review, for transparency. After living in Dee Why for a while, I have realised a few things. Time waits for no man, and pizza from Crust Dee Why takes at least 2 HOURS to be delivered.
So far we have not had one pizza delivered from Crust Dee Why that has come on time. Every pizza takes at least 90 minutes to arrive. They have tried to help, but to be honest, there is only so much free garlic bread that you can eat.
When they arrive, the pizza is cold, and below par. So I can only assume they have employed people from the special school to make the pizza, and only have one driver to deliver the pizza.
I will say NEVER order a pizza from Crust Dee Why. Unless you order at lunch for it to come at dinner. In which case you will probable just about make it.
---- My original review ------
Its not a bad place for Pizza. Miles better than any other chain take out pizza. Delivery does often take over an hour though. As with most pizza places, the pizzas get delivered a little cold, so need heating up. We are actually only 5 minutes walk away, so we are going to go to pick them up from now on.
The pizzas are tasty though, and they do always work hard to make sure they get the...
Read moreI have ordered on a number of times from Crust DY and have always enjoyed the food. This post is about the management. I have had a couple of very annoying incidents in recent times - both of which relate to the delivery. I would like to give a huge shout out to the manager (Steve) who has gone out of his way to solve my issues on both occasions, the most recent of which involved something that was quite out of his control but he was very persistent in advocating for me. I quite understand that things don't always go smoothly in any business and I believe that the test of good management is how the issues are resolved afterwards. In my experience, on both occasions it has been fantastic and this will keep me ordering from this store. Thanks for all your efforts and...
Read moreI ordered a low-carb chicken pesto pizza from Crust Dee Why, which costed abit extra as they said they're no longer offering low-carb bases which I'm very sad about :( They could still offer me this base tonight though which I was very grateful for!
However, when I received my pizza, it was a very thick and puffy cheesy base, and I could instantly tell that it was not the low-carb base. When I called not long after realising, I explained this and the kind lady who answered the phone quickly rectified the situation, with the correct pizza base being re-delivered within a short time frame.
The delivery guy was also very pleasant too! I was very grateful of how this was rectified, and the pizza was an ideal temperature & absolutely delicious!...
