Sydney Markets Plaza Cafe — Restaurant in Sydney

Today me and my bf want to eat brunch around my place so we pick this cafe. When we go inside no one come to say hello or give you instruction how to order food. And we find down check menu through qr but it’s didn’t work ( while the time I’m checking in app my big breakfast have sausage included that’s why i choose and pick up). After try so many time for ordering in app we can’t do it so we have to go to encounter to order. Everything was good and staff never mentioned they close at 2 and close kitchen at 1:30 ( in website show 3:30 ). When i got my food, it was in takeaway box, helloo we pay money for eat properly food, and its not drive-thr. We want to enjoy our food not rushing. And the main thing in my big breakfast meal don’t have sausage when i ask they say we close at 1:30, we can’t cook, you order after 1:30 so we can’t make it for u. But we are not order extra, it must be in my food. I was so angry and I want to change other food but they said kitchen closed, and they never pay back money although we never eat anything at all. We were here to do a retail robot demo for a client upstairs. By the time we finished is lunch time and we didn’t see any other options, so we give it a try at this cafe.

Environment 4/5 Not too bad, is bright with all the windows surrounding and plenty of seats as well. Not too crowded or noisy. Easily accessible.

Service 4/5 Cashier being quite helpful introducing the menu and the food is ready quite fast.

Cappuccino 4/5 If I’m working here, I don’t mind grabbing a coffee from them every day.

Thai red curry with rice 4/5 I would say is quite good, although it is not very traditional taste, but still alright as I believe is to localise the flavour to local preference. It is not that spicy but worth giving a try.

I trialled this place out over a couple months as i work in walking distance and just wanted coffee as the coffee machine at our office is disgusting. I was surprisingly disappointed with my coffee experience here. First coffee i had was cold and took a really long time so i asked one of the workers and he said he forgot the order was there, 2nd one upset my stomach for a couple days and was flavorless. I then tried 2 decaff coffees and just was a let down. It sucks because iv heard a lot of good stuff about this place and was recommended by colleagues to try it out, but it was just really disappointing sadly.
