Last weekend !From the moment I walked in, the aroma of spices like cardamom, cumin, and cloves filled the air — a promising start.We began with the vegetable samosas, which were golden and crispy on the outside and packed with a well-spiced potato filling inside. The mint chutney served alongside was fresh and added a nice tangy kick.For the main course, I ordered the butter chicken and paneer tikka masala with garlic naan and steamed basmati rice. The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and mildly spiced — perfect for someone who enjoys flavor without too much heat. The paneer was soft and soaked in a delicious tomato-based gravy that had just the right balance of spices.What really stood out was the service — the staff were attentive, polite, and eager to explain the dishes. We are seeking to find the next best place, that fabulous unknown gem, just waiting to be discovered. You never think that your local Indian restaurant is going to be that fabulous gem, but here I am writing about it.

Sylvania Indian Restaurant, what a star to find on an odd quick choice decision. If your in the Sutherland area near Tom Uglies Bridge, than your on track to experience a fantastic menu of Indian delights

The vegetarian platter was delicious the home made pickles spicy and full of flavour.

The mains were amazing, the lamb madras and the Desi chicken on the bone full of spice and flavour, the naan crispy and light the rice was fluffy and white.

This is a must do restaurant for those lovers of spice, The ladies serving us were delightful and helpful, take the time to talk to them as it’s quite a diverse menu, one sitting would never be enough.

Take the time to at the very least, try this delightful little gem, my only shirt fall is the noise level - a rug in the middle of the restaurant would assist - whilst the service was very good, a little attention to detail, like ice in drinks etc needs a...

Food ordered by phn had to explain order 4 times till she got it right ( or so we thought ) 1hr later food delivered by menu log another mistake, Iam still waiting for a $34 meal that never turned up. No sorries or anything. Back to the stone cold food, dry " tandoori " cutlets not cooked in tandoori mix and so thick it was more like mutton, no pappadoms, no Samosas, 1st time was great, hope they were having just a bad nite, and unfortunately they have no control after it leaves the restaurant.
