Tasty Tandoori Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Sydney

I have been ordering Indian from Tasty Tandoori for years. Hands down it is one of the best Indian restaurants in the Shire. But their home delivery service is absolutely terrible. Like other reviewers my most recent order took over 2.5 hours from order placement to delivery. This is not the first time late delivery has happened but this most recent delivery hit a new record low. The people at the restaurant always try to initially gloss over your first phone call with an “it’s being packed” or “it’s on its way”. I made three phone calls after an hour went by, but by that time the guests I was ordering for went home. The managers/owners never offer compensation or an apology. They should just stop taking orders for take away if they are not able to handle the volume. Such a pity... their food is good for Shire standards (note I didn’t say the best in Sydney because there are amazing Indian...

Have been coming here a while even though the service is painfully slow (2.5-3 hours in there for a starter and main) the food was always good. I ordered a takeaway tonight as iv had covid. I ordered the papadums and mango chutney that iv had before and is delicious. I ordered 2 packs of the papadums. What arrived was one pack and a yoghurt/mint dip. I called to see if I could rectify this and nip over as I live very close to be told “there are 2 packs, 2 people check the orders and are not lying so you must be” and that the dip is chutney-it’s yoghurt dip it’s very smooth and watery (and also available on menu) See photos. They told me it’s a special type of chutney. Terrible service, lost me and my workplace (we used to come here as group) as customers. Uber eats thankfully refunded me but I was appalled by the phone call....

Bought a voucher from groupon (dinner for 2) come with a mixed platter to share, includes samosas, vegetable pakoras, chicken tikka and lamb cutlets. Lamb rogan josh or butter chicken to share ,Garlic naan to share, Basmati rice to share, Dessert each (but we only got one after we left we realized it was one each) Pappadums to share, Glass of house wine each or you can choose soda as well. Besides disappointed that we only got one dessert, (gulab jamun) thats the name of the dessert we had, which by the way its amazing if you like very sweet pastry. All the portions are small because of the groupon voucher, ($38 for 2) but if you actually order from the menu the portions are way bigger! Overall i really like this place, i ate a few times but only take aways, dine in is pretty...
