Thai Thyme Kitchen — Restaurant in Sydney

We received absolutely terrible service from this restaurant. We ordered from them through Ubereats, but when it was delivered we didn’t receive the rice we had ordered and paid for. This was an honest mistake, and we wanted to rectify it quickly so we immediately called the restaurant. The staff at the restaurant said they were closed (it was 8:30pm on a Saturday night, and google states they close at 9) and they refused to do anything to help us. This was upsetting because we didn’t want to eat our curry without rice. Eventually they agreed to deliver the rice we had paid for. We waited over an hour after this (without eating!) before calling again to see where the rice was. The staff told us that they had called us and we had told them that we had “received the rice and had already eaten it” which was a blatant lie. After calling them out on their ridiculous lie, they changed their story to say that they didn’t know our address so they couldn’t deliver (even though I gave them our address over the phone and carefully spelled out each word). In the end, we got no rice, the food was average, and needless to say we will never order...

Ordered through deliveroo, order was meant be delivered at 8:30pm (ordered at 7:45) but they were waiting on a driver and it did not reach me till about 9:15 - the food is now cold and my can of coke warm. Yes i understand that deliveroo didnt send a driver in time but surely once the food has been sitting there for 20-30 minutes you would make a fresh batch? Very disappointed and has turned me off this restaurant. *in response to your reply below - it still stands that the order sat at your restaurant for at least 30 minutes before it was picked up by deliveroo, a professional restaurant would make a fresh batch of food so it doesnt arrive cold and that is the blame i am putting on you, not the delivery time which i have dealt with direct...

Really tasty Thai food & the ladies that take your order really are lovely with gentle traditional Thai manners. I ordered the King Prawn Green Curry & the Beef Chili & Basil. The Green Curry was beautiful & very tasty & the Beef had a lot of flavour & a nice chilli hit but wasnt too hot.

Their Lunch Special menu (see pic) is great value with a great range of choices & is priced from only $9.90.

I would recommend picking up your own food as the service is very fast. Don't fall for the delivery services that charge inflated prices on top of the restaurant price. But if you insist on using them & they let you down on delivery times dont leave a bad review for the restaurant as this is totally out of...
