Review: A Delightful Turkish Breakfast Experience at That Turkish Place
If you’re craving an authentic and hearty start to your day, look no further than That Turkish Place. This charming breakfast spot delivers an unforgettable culinary experience that perfectly captures the warmth and richness of Turkish cuisine.
Atmosphere: That Turkish Place combines a cozy, welcoming ambiance with a touch of Turkish tradition. The interior is adorned with colorful tiles, traditional lanterns, and a relaxed vibe that makes you feel at home. The staff are friendly and attentive, happy to explain the dishes and ensure every guest has a fantastic experience.
The Spread: True to Turkish breakfast culture, the table was filled with an impressive array of small plates. Highlights included creamy kaymak paired with golden honey, tangy marinated olives, and a variety of cheeses, from salty feta to soft goat cheese. The homemade jams, particularly the apricot and sour cherry, were divine—bursting with fresh, fruity flavor. The freshly baked bread and simit (sesame-crusted bread rings) were the perfect vehicles for these spreads.
Hot Dishes: The hot options truly elevated the meal. The menemen—a delicious mix of scrambled eggs with tomatoes, peppers, and spices—was cooked to perfection. The sucuk (spiced sausage) was savory and flavorful, while the crispy, cheese-filled börek added a satisfying crunch.
Drinks: Turkish tea, served in traditional tulip-shaped glasses, was a standout. Its bold yet smooth flavor paired beautifully with the food, and refills seemed endless. The Turkish coffee, served with a delicate piece of Turkish delight, was rich and aromatic—perfect for a post-meal treat.
Overall: That Turkish Place delivers a vibrant and authentic breakfast experience that is both delicious and culturally enriching. The combination of fresh ingredients, careful preparation, and exceptional hospitality makes this spot a true gem.
Rating: 5/5 Whether you’re new to Turkish cuisine or a devoted fan, That Turkish Place is a must-visit destination for a breakfast feast that will leave you both satisfied and...
Read moreWe dined there today for brunch and let me tell you about my experience…. From the moment we walked in we weren’t greeted, I would say I just stood there waiting to be greeted for a whole minute, the lady in the kitchen yelled at the waitress that there was a customer at the door only to be greeted by someone who looked like she didn’t want to be there. I asked for a table of 6 + high chair and she told me they only had outside, and that there was nothing available inside. I agreed and we waited for our friends, as we were waiting for our friends I went to the bathroom which was through the restaurant and noticed there was at least 2 x tables for 6 + people inside !!!! She didn’t even check ti see if anything was available inside when I asked!!!!!
When we wanted to order we literally had to wave someone down for their attention. We ordered some coffee and that in it self took about 20 minutes to come out. We ordered 6 of the surpreme breakfast, all the food came out at different times, we waited such a long time for food. We were missing 2 eggs and bread plate, we were also missing a Turkish coffee and had to remind them a couple of times of the items we were missing. Honestly the food was really good and this place has lots of potential but their customer service is horrendous. We saw this page on Instagram and my friends and I love the experience of a Turkish breakfast but this place did not deliver and I...

Food review: nothing special. But please look at the pics and someone explain to me should this breakfast for 2 should take 1 hour 45 mins to prepare? really the only things that were actually cooked were the eggs rest is out of the bottle. "No" the resturant wasn't busy. The waiters looked like they hated their life. Majority of the tables hadn't been cleared until customers walked in then it got cleared. Heaps of left over food. Waste of $81 honestly. Not a turk but i love my food and know my cuisines very well and can cook em. Don't waste your time...
