The House of Thai — Restaurant in Sydney

1. Customer service : asked for a drink - got a warm bottle with a straw. No glass. Ordered ~ $175 worth of food and multiple dishes - didn’t get fresh plates and also the waitress - when they’re not too busy running away or hiding from you - are preoccupied waving to people outside the shop and gossiping rather than focusing on providing a warm service to their diners. The expectation was for us to eat our mains using the same cutlery, plates and bowls that we used for our entrees , and the waitress I think popped her haemarrhoids when I requested for fresh plates and cutlery. The restaurant was very empty too mind you so the request was totally reasonable and expected if you’re charging customers for and presenting yourself as a premium diner.

2. Food: price is just not worth it. Mixed seafood Tom yum soup should be renamed to mushroom soup because it was filled with mushrooms and had just 1 prawn in it. There was no mention of mushroom on the menu and the soup we were told serves 4. So not sure how 4 people are supposed to share 1 prawn. Other food portion size is so pathetic you instantly regret having come to this place.

Please avoid this place at all costs. They’re extremely rude and unjustifiably expensive without any semblance of quality...

Worst ever thai food experience in life. We ordered five dishs thai spicey basil fried rice s. Unfortunately all thai spicey fried rice were extremely sugary. One of my mate was a head chef to a very well known restaurant in sydney. I invited him there with his family to house of thai. My chef mate very cordially asked the manager to please tell the chef on the house to try the food that has been served. The manager was extremely rude and grumpy and told us she will not try someones food. And told us this is the way they served chilli basil fried rice with chilli jam. Then I asked her very politely again please tell the chef on house to try at least coz there must be some mistake happened. However, the manager were being continuesly rude. Then I told my mates no point of waste time anymore better lets pay and go. We left those chilli basil fried rice as it is. I should have taken some pictures of the food as well to upload. I have been to this House of thai several times at least more than fifty times and tried the chilli basil fried rice coz thats my wife only have all time. However, I got embarrassed as I have invited my mate and his family there first time. Unfortunately, we left there with without...

Very disappointed , as a customer with the store service especially from the female store Manager. Yesterday evening, I ask for my credit , for a Fried rice that a family member of mine ordered a few weeks ago that the store made incorrectly. We asked for a Fried rice with no Tomato and no Baby corn, and was given rice with no Vegetables at all (as shown in the Photo). The store acknowledged the credit , however when I asked for my Hokkien Noodle dish to be rectified that evening, was unhappy with the sauce flavours requesting more Oyster sauce . The Manager stated , this is the last time I will make any adjustments for your family order ever again ; stating this multiple times in a very direct manner in front of a lot of other customers . Further then stating , no one ever has complained but your family (which I find hard to believe). However, I just wanted to say , no customer should be made to feel like they are in the wrong , and feel like they cannot ask for an adjustment with a meal they are unhappy with , or that the store made incorrectly. Unfortunately, this incident, discourages a customer to ever purchase from the store again ; just for speaking up . Overall ,...
