The Bellevue Hotel — Restaurant in Sydney

I can't decribe the food because the restaurant cancelled my reservation without asking me so I never got a chance to try it... I made a reservation through Dimmi for 8 people, then two weeks later the restaurant called to tell me that they were moving our reservation time, without consulting me, to 2 hours later. Like most people I couldn't do a time that was 2hrs different, so after I expressed my surprise they agreed to restore us to a table closer to the original time.

Then I got an email a week or so later saying they had decided to cancel my reservation and they could not accommodate me that night at all.

In all my years of dining out, both in Australia and around the world, I have never been treated like this. I won't be attempting to go back. I hope the food is exceptional if they expect customers to put up with treatment like this and...

Arrived at 11:01pm and was told the venue was not accepting more people past 11:00pm, despite the pub being half empty. I had organised to meet a group of interstate mates, who were all at the venue waiting for me to arrive. Of course, a group of three women who arrived a minute after me were allowed entry. The lack of awareness of the security guard (and management, if they had instructed to cut off entry at 11:00pm) was unbelievable. To enforce an arbitrary 11:00pm cut off is absolutely bizarre, and to make someone feel like a criminal for simply wanting to sit in a pub with his mates is even more ridiculous. Will...

If you don't have a beer on tap, take it off the ordering system on the table. Also, waiting for 25 minutes for 2 drinks to turn up after ordering from the app is a joke. "The machine wasn't turned on" isn't a good enough excuse. Steak and chips were great, however my friends burger missed the mark. Definitely not value for money. Trivia was disappointing, the host seemed to give more attention to the regulars and in the end we left due to him just wandering around talking to people and not actually asking questions.
