Great location, right on the beach, what more could you want? Some great fresh food am I right? that would be ideal, so when we decided to sit close to the kitchen and have a look at the food being prepared and see the team in action we were a little shocked.
Staff in kitchen not wearing adequate oh&s clothing, kitchen staff with long hair down, not tied up to stop it from falling in food. No gloves warn by any kitchen staff, and, staff half cleaning kitchen didn't wash their hands when swapping from cleaning to preparing or plating food, leaving chemicals on the side of the dishes.
Recommend to waste money on a more classy establishment in the CBD in my opinion. Family will not book again, this is mainly due to our guest who had the lamb main and halloumi salad. The salad was uneatable due to the halloumi have being cooked hours before for way to long, and then left to sit out until ordered? it was hard, dry and nothing like halloumi (This is all coming from a half Cypriot who eats this cheese near daily.) The family guest was very sick from the dishes they ate - this resulting in them spending 24 hours off work recovering all day in bed.
This is a pub and serves basic food at an entry level in a supreme location. Jugs are also very bland being 1/2 to 3/4 ice, also these came to table without being mixed correctly.
Dishes are 2/10 for quality, 5/10 for portion sizing and 4/10 for price.
Overall - 1 out of 5 stars. -...
Read moreI took my mum and auntie to this famous spot for Korean tourists, which is purely due to a Korean TV show that introduces their fish and chips to die for, to experience this somewhat renowned place to eat and drink in Bondi beach. We ordered fish and chips and burgers, and food was just average and nothing special. The view was extraordinary, but I felt excruciating about how one guy, who I think is involved in this business management, treated my mum and auntie while I was ordering the food. We initially sat at a high table, but they must’ve felt uncomfortable and tried to sit somewhere better. When they finally arrived at a table they liked, this guy almost yelled at them– well this can be subjective but this is how they felt. I got to the table just in time to witness this scene, he explained to me that somebody must’ve moved the reservation sign and also was booked for 8 but it’s okay for us to sit. However, the sign was on the next table and it clearly stated ‘reserved for 4.’ I didn’t want to argue and make a scene, but I cannot stop thinking of how he treated my mum and auntie with no respect because they don’t speak English. I live in Melbourne so I wouldn’t go back to Sydney any time soon, especially this place. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my...
Read moreI normally don't leave reviews like this but in this case I feel I have to. The food was actually really nice. Unfortunately the girl who served us was extremely rude and to be honest had a terrible attitude towards us as customers. While waiting to be served two staff members where stood behind the bar having a conversation while people including ourselves where stood waiting to be served. We where then served by a very rude female staff member who basically had a bit of an attitude problem. I couldn't help but feel I was causing an inconvenience by ordering food and drinks. Considering the price of food you may want to look in to your customer service at bucket list. After experiencing an attitude like that I couldn't help but feel annoyed. The venue is really nice, the food was good and it's a great location but unfortunately after that experience I left feeling annoyed. I won't be back in the future and doubt I'll ever recommend the venue to anyone. I would much rather spend my...
