I visited this bakery on Thursday, April 3rd, and left disappointed by the poor customer service. Upon entering, I was greeted by a visibly grumpy staff member. As I looked for something to eat, I overheard one staff member say to another, “Mate, I wasn’t trying to ignore you,” which made it clear there was tension or poor communication among the team.
I ordered a large mocha with almond milk and a snack, but was surprised when I was charged $21 for a mocha and a margarita pizza—items I hadn’t clearly selected. I questioned the total, but the payment had already gone through. When I asked about a refund, they insisted on giving me cash, even though I preferred a card refund. The staff became visibly annoyed, especially the one who made my coffee, who abruptly told me, “Oh mate, just check your bank account, it’s not that hard.”
The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth—literally and figuratively. While the food itself was fine, the customer service was severely lacking. The team didn’t seem to work well together and the interaction turned me off my food. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend this place based on...
Read morethe food itself is great, a little overpriced, but at least its of good quality- the issue i have every time I go is that the blonde older woman with glasses on Sundays is always quite rude and blunt, often sighing and making me feel like my order is too much of an effort for her? I understand that a few orders in the morning can be a bit of an effort but I have never complained about the wait ever - or ever been rude to her myself. She also often pushes me to the side to let her evidently “favourite” customers order and she will often leave me feeling like my order is an afterthought! its a shame because the rest of the staff is great and I am always excited for the food, but she often just leaves a sour taste in my mouth everytime i leave - i think she may need a bit of revision in some customer service because she evidently gets annoyed at her customers when the order is too big - and sorry to say it,...
Read moreYears after bursting onto the scene like a pamplona bull, this place has shifted across the road, and the throngs have followed. For the most part, the offer is the same, but it's been "dumbed down", with many of the more colourful offers, and other high labour items sent to the proverbial bin. But we live in times wherr skilled labour is harder to find than a duck egg under a chicken. Whats left if a credible assortment of the usual stuff at Sydney's growing bakery mob. The croissants here used to be as good as any in Australia, and not out of place in france. Today, the under proofed puff shows the lack in the proofer, by the dense undercooked centre. The coffee was good, and other choices were also perfectly on point. I'm sure staff shortages will pass, and I look forward to their rage and...
