Came into dine with my wife on a Saturday night, rang to book a table, and that should have been my 1st clue not to turn up. 2nd clue is the photos on google look nothing like the place, or the food, and is a major “catfish” and make sure you have a torch with you to find the toilet as there was no lighting out the back to get to it. Arrived at 5:45 with one other table there (which I later made the joke they have probably been there since lunch) but they where at the end of there meal I ordered chicken tacos for myself and my wife to start with, just over half an hour later they brought us fish tacos, (fish was way overcooked/deep fried) didn’t want to say anything as may have taken another half hour to get the order right. We did order 250g (definitely not 250g) medium rare steak and, prawn and chorizo pasta, which took another half hour on top to come out, we received the steak more then well done, looked like it been on the grill for the last hour, was still waiting for the pasta to come out, (hence why there is only a photo of the steak) I ordered a coffee while I waited (as it smelt nice). One cut into the steak and that was tipping point for me, we got up to leave, told them to put my coffee in a take away cup, thought I would have a sip before leaving, they clearly don’t know what they are doing, coffee was not even warm, it tasted like they saved me the leftover grinds, worst coffee i have ever had, probably the 1st time I have ever spat a coffee out, said I’ll pay for the 3 drinks and tacos, but then had the hide to charge me $75 for food I didn’t even get. I did give them the benefit of the doubt at the start, as the staff were nice when we got there and they did “try” but when you only have 2 people in the place and it takes over an hour for 3 basic dishes, I would hate to see if they actually busy. Don’t know if it’s coincidence or not but about 40mins after the tacos my wife started feeling sick, and has now been crook all night.. I would never visit or dine in this place ever again, and I would strongly recommend anyone to do the same thing, honestly do not know how it has 4.5 start rating. I give them 1 star for the slight effort from front of house but the rest would easily get a 0 star rating.

WHERE TO BEGIN??!!! Indulging in an afternoon at Moonlight was an absolute delight from start to finish. Let me just say that my family & close friends were in town for vacation from California and we were left absolutely speechless. I was RECOMMENDED this spot to give it a go by a colleague and it did not disappoint. The moment we stepped through the doors, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality that set the tone for an unforgettable dining experience. First and foremost, the food was nothing short of extraordinary. Each dish was a masterpiece, expertly crafted, beautiful presentation and bursting with flavor so 10/10! EVERY bite was a symphony for the taste buds. But it wasn't just the food that left us speechless; it was also the impeccable service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our meal was perfect. Their attention to detail and genuine care for their guests truly set them apart. We have experience nothing like this in the U.S. And let's talk about the ambiance—simply stunning. The restaurant's elegant decor and cozy atmosphere provided the perfect environment for us to relax, unwind and enjoy. Absolutely stunning! Last but certainly not least, we were touched by the warmth and kindness of the restaurant owner-Paco. Him and his team’s dedication to providing exceptional experience for his guests was evident in every interaction, and their genuine passion for what they do shone through in every aspect of our visit for lunch/dinner. I wholeheartedly recommend this gem to anyone looking for an unforgettable dining experience! Five stars all around & very deserving so. I hope anyone & everyone gets to have a piece of what they’re serving at Moonlight. Thank you for an amazing dinning experience, delicious & beautiful food as well as for your very kind & warm hospitality Moonlight, Paco & team.

A very confused spot that is in desperate need of a re-think. I've wanted to try The Den for a long time, so imagine my surprise when I got there and found "Moonlight" instead! There are traces of the old name dotted throughout the place, but they seem to be part way through rebranding as Moonlight. However, the confusion doesn't stop there... The brunch menu is Australian, the coffee is Italian, there is a Roman statue greeting you at the front door, there is a children's play area with no toys and nothing to do in it, there's an outdoor space that has had absolutely no love in at least several months, and yet an interior decor that suggests a high-class dining experience. This place desperately needs a theme, an identity, and a consistent execution. The coffee was pretty appalling (see picture), with absolutely no attempt at latte art. In my opinion this alone is unacceptable if you're going to open for brunch, especially given the local competition. The brunch food was nothing special and not particular tasty, but priced affordably. But the children's menu was absolutely COATED in salt (see photo), which was pretty bad for kids food. The staff were very friendly and attentive, so no complaints there. There were also highchairs available but they were pretty filthy from being outside. Unfortunately, we won't be going back unless this place gets a significant overhaul.

Cons: (24 issues)

Every single glass we were given, had finger print marks, lip marks on them, and cloudy - not wiped Pictures on Google dont reflect the standard and quality of this place and the menu they are using outdoor gas heaters in doors - which is illegal - massive safety risk. I had to ask the staff to move it as the heat was rising right above a decoration on the wall- it was for to close resturant was freezing cold both inside and outside staff play really loud football game as we entered, which immediately ruined any chance of atmosphere. They did lower thr volume after I think they heard us saying it was to loud, but kept the football on - really hard to hear each other speak. Music came on 20 min before we were finishing - but again it was the wrong type of music for a resturant setting. Bar staff not dresses appropriately (wearing base ball cap and is think track pants) the chef was running 40 min late and no one told us until we were there for about 30 min waiting. He still had to cook the food when he arrived, which meant we were waiting 1 hr for dinner. the chips served at dinner were luke warm and so was the chicken schnitzel when it came out. I think it might have been pre cooked waiting for the chef to arrive the decor is incredibly confusing and conflicting- why Romans at the front door??? nachos came out burnt and weird flavour of the beef mince. There was no soap in the bathroom, and extra toilet paper in a weird spot not accessible if you run out whilst on the toilet. We were the only people in the resturant, but toilet paper was empty (obviously not checked before opening) and again bathroom needs some work with decorating. hand sanitiser not in the bathroom where you need it, but located in random places out side. we pulled out 'Clean' napkins from the little buckets- which had crumbs on them on arrival the staff appeared unaware almost suprised of our booking despite having a reservations AND calling the number to confirm. it was really difficult to communicate with staff at times (had to tell the person who greeted me that we had a booking 3 times) -There was a delay in the food coming out which meant 2 of our guests had to watch everyone else eat. We tried to wait but because the food came out luke warm we were concerned for hygiene reasons to wait before it turned cold as we wernt sur ehow long it had been sitting there. when dinner arrived, waitress mixed up the plates, saying this is X meal with gravy but it was actually X meal with mushroom sauce. So 2 guests had to swap plates. waitress took order from the first person went around the table and then came back to the first person asking what they would like to order? (She had already taken my order but had already forgotten) the decorating needs to be completely gutted and just start again - just pick 1 theme and stick to it, including the menu. dinner menu needs a complete overhaul, its limited and underwhelming (already pubs in the area serving the same thing but 10x better quality) there was a weird white fake plant on the table with yellow stained gel - it was so sightly one of the guests asked me to move it off the tabel. order sparkling water - came out different brand to what the menu stated it was a really awkward and embarrassing experience as I had booked this place to take my in-laws out who were visiting. We all left feeling really disappointed. plates put down - but no cutlery on the table. We had to take from another table. spicy margarita, not spicy even after asking for more spice. Found dirty cutlery in buckets on table with stains on them - again they need to be wiped and checked before opening. more options for salads or vegetarian options needed. 2 salad options and 1 before burger is not enough.

Unfortunately we wont be returning it just felt unclean and the whole place is just tacky and completely unprofessional. I was really looking forward to trying this place and left feeling totally embarrassed taking my...
