Don't book your Christmas party at Taylors Rooftop. They significantly oversell the venue, it’s crowded, congested and unsocial. You can barely move without bumping into someone or walk passed the bar queue to exit or go to the toilet. We booked a table of 15 for 3.30pm and received 7 seats. Because it was so crowded our group couldn't even comfortably stand around cocktail style. I saw a table of 30 booked on one long table with 7 seats and no space, and a table of 8 booked on a low table with only 2 seats. No one seemed to be managing capacity. My only commendation is that the bar staff did a job at moving through the line.

Small yet vibrant rooftop bar that isn't too fancy. The visible pipes and hydraulics gives it a 'raw' feel like a standard casual pub juxtaposed against the 'bar' with the full shelter which makes Taylor's Rooftop very different, especially for one that plays live music with a dance space. Thanks to the team for reserving several high tables along with flexible start times and keeping the music at a conversational volume - the fried chicken burgers were really succulent!

Very modern dining room with warm and attentive service. Starting with the bread, everything was well above expectations, the oysters were very fresh and the crumbed prawns were cooked perfectly (the pictures don't do it justice). We each had steak with truffle sauce and the steaks were cooked perfectly but the truffle lacked smell. Loved the mushy peas and chips. Wines were fairly priced and we were too full for dessert...

Best happy hour in the area - $6.50 wine and spirits from 5-7pm ! Love the various levels each with a slightly different look/feel and really appreciate the lift. We decided to sit on the rooftop level on a Friday night and easily nabbed a seat with a view. Service is very attentive and friendly, glasses were quickly cleared. Tiny bit of consistency in the pours but def don’t hold it against them at these prices and the under pours were compensated by the over pours. DJ was maybe just slightly took loud to hold a comfortable conversation but it was a Friday night so can’t complain too much. Liked the mix of music so music was a positive. I am always confused as to why this pub never seems full - it’s in a great location, good happy hour, didn’t try food so can’t comment on that but I feel like it should be more popular than it is. Maybe I should just be quiet and allow myself to enjoy it without being a sardine ! Have been here many times over the years, but now that I’m aware of the current happy hour offer and since I’ve finally visited the rooftop it will be on my list as the evening kick off venue...

Had my birthday here. Inspected the location prior to booking and the contract process went well. However, on the night there were barely any tables and chairs set out for us to use. No manager was on site to help us organise the event. Bar staff were there to help however, had no clue about prior arrangements made. Specifically asked for speakers to play a special song organised prior to the event but unfortunately, the speakers were not functioning on the night. They told us we had to go upstairs to request songs from the DJ but the DJ wouldn't even accept song requests?? Emailed Claudia (event's manager) afterwards about this issue which was agreed prior to signing the contract and she put the blame on us saying I was not clear about the speaker requests. What kind of venue doesn't have speakers to use?! Overall, bar staff were efficient in catering to guests' needs however, event management...

Firstly, of course they’re using those barcodes for you to order through - don’t have full menu that correlates to their website. I ordered the duck pate & then after 15 minutes it had not arrived so i got up & went over to the counter to ask, the man didn’t seem to really know what i was saying & just said ok i’ll ask the chef. over ten minutes later i see him walking around & asked him again, he said sorry the staff had given it to wrong table so they have to make it again. I don’t think he would’ve come to inform me if i hadn’t have asked myself. So my simple duck pate comes just over 30 minutes late 😐 at least it was big servings. The cocktails were nice but overpriced for a pub. the tables and chairs are also so closely packed together it’s very hard to get into the inner seats especially if others won’t tuck their seats in. Not a very nice ambient...
