I was there with a friend and this young Asian manager decided my friend was drunk. She asked her to leave and I started questioning them why they chose her. When I started to question them they started to say I was being “quarrelsome” and they would call the police and have me arrested. I was questioning how only one person was being quarrelsome when it took two people. They wanted to escort me out because I was asking questions, and I also asked, why.
If they wanted to ask my friend out who was supposedly “drunk”, why would they serve us alcohol.
I was in absolute shock. The girl who was the “manager” looked half my age. If I “questioned” anything I was told they’d call the police and I’d be arrested. I was trying to understand why they decided to pick on my friend and because I was questioning them I was ultimately going to be arrested… what kind of place is this??? They want us to spend money on their alcohol then kick us out because they feel like it. Because someone seemed drunk???!!!
They said my friend swore at the young Asian girl who was apparently the “manager” and half our age. I was questioning their English. Apparently using a swear word in a sentence is the same as swearing at someone.
The young people working there were clearly not educated and were abusing their authority working at the establishment flashing around cards indicating one could be arrested for questioning them.
Obviously by the time my friend was followed out to the door as though she was a convict, was mad and actually did swear at security.
And honestly , who wouldn’t after being served alcohol, and then after drinking at that establishment being questioned about the way they were standing and basically being told to leave for no valid reason. No good explanation had been given to us!
This place is absolutely ridiculous!
They want us to spend money, get drunk, then depending on the mood of the manager who’s half our age decides for whatever reason she doesn’t like someone she wants them kicked out because they’re intoxicated.. which wasn’t true and makes a huge deal out of it all.
My friend was chatting to a guy and was minding her own business not bothering anyone. She had three glasses of wine!!!
She wasn’t abusing anyone. She wasn’t making a scene. The only scene that started occurred because this young manger decided she didn’t like the way she was standing and God knows whatever else!!
When I questioned what her reason was for singling out my friend, ultimately the response I got was they would call the police and I’d end up in prison.. and for what??!
For spending money there which they happily took, giving us alcohol then, singling out my friend assuming she was drunk, or whatever and kicking us out making us look like we were a problem when we were minding our own business.
I am absolutely gobsmacked at how this evening has turned out.
I do not understand what this place is about but if they want us to spend money and then kick us out making us feel like criminals, I don’t think this is a place to go!
Absolutely ridiculous. These young kids are abusing whatever power they have and really not knowing what...
Read moreThe most racist, discriminatory and ridiculous place in the world. Went there with my mates coming from Italy last night, I was wearing beige trousers a Ralph Loren striped shirt and a pair of white adidas leather shoes. Got in at 11:30pm having the middle eastern security guy checking us up to see if we were drunk and if we were wearing the proper clothes. He let's us in (5 of us, 1 girl and 4 guys) just to mention no one of us had anything to drink until that moment. We wait about 15 minutes to get a drink for the long queue 10 minutes to drink it. Me and 2 friends decide to go out and have a cigarette around 11:55 pm. Then we head back to the door at 12 am and the exact same security guy stops me from getting in because of my shoes, saying that because these are sneakers I can't get in, then takes a look at my 2 friends saying the same thing. I tell him that he let me in just 30 minutes ago, his reply is that they have a different policy after 10pm for what you are wearing and I tell him that he let me in at 11:30, no reply just stands his ground and doesn't let me in. My friend who had is wife in the bar starts an argument with him and asks to call the manager. The manager arrives, my friend explains to him the situation and the manager replies saying that it's not possible that his colleague didn't let us in because of the shoes, and after that he decides that my friend is intoxicated by alcohol as he couldn't give us a reason why we couldn't get back in (had just 1 drink all night). Anyway They let me in to go get my other friends and then We leave. Ruined our night out and mostly important to my friends who are staying here just for 2 weeks. I'll never go back there again as there isn't a rule for who they choose to let in or not, but they just go by the minute and by whatever they choose creating a high risk on my security as they also let in very intoxicated people if they feel like it. Security should be in a club to make sure everyone is safe, not to be on stage and act...
Read moreNYE 2021. Same as NYE 2020. Loads of extremely ultra-attractive hot bar staff. Almost painful to order a beer without realising that your life is meaningless and utterly unexceptional. Though that’s just me. Still single. Establishment Bar is lovely, prices reasonable considering it’s topographical situation. At this NYE2021 meetup group for the third year running I came to the Establishment Bar. My hope was to meet a fellow traveller. My good friend in my loveless search Brendon said, well pretty much told me that I have to lose at minimum 10kg if I expected any interest. He’s right. I love beer. The Establishment Bar is one of those Sydney watering holes that look upper class but at the end of the day cater for the mass of uncivilised regular people looking to drown their sorrows in booze and bar food. The chips and chicken wings are average, meaning they’re enjoyable and tasty but nothing original or special. That’s not a dog at the Establishment Bar, it’s merely the observation of a punter who drinks and eats far too much fatty and delicious bar snacks across the city. Great place to observe the beautiful people. A parade of the lovely and hotly sexy and extremely generic lottery winners wearing beautiful well designed clothes. They walk around the bar as if on a catwalk and I for one enjoy the expression of early twenty first century fashion and casual beauty. As usual my efforts at trying to attract a over 50+ mate failed to materialise. I dressed up. Establishment Bar is a great place to strut your stuff whilst sucking down booze. Great environment. Awesome atmosphere and if only I was 10kg lighter perhaps my opportunities for a serendipitous event would have been improved. Drink and be merry because tomorrow you have to pay your bills and deal with your blabbering painful boss. I had fun and left as lonely as I arrived but a good place...
