The Second Home Cafe - Richmond — Restaurant in Sydney

We have visited Second Home Cafe Richmond a few times for breakfast. This has to be one of our favourite breakfast places in Richmond. The coffee is always robust and the perfect way to start your morning. The staff are friendly and attentive and make you feel at home. The food is always fresh and cooked to perfection. I can not go past the Potato Hash breakfast. This has to be my favourite breakfast item. Fresh squeezed juices are available and a beautiful outdoor dining option to enough the fresh air and makes you forget your in the heart of Richmond. We entered the cafe and had to ask staff if we could be seated, to which the person responded with "yeah, just sit wherever you want". We sat out in the back area, the male staff member was super polite and helpful. Brought us menus and took our order. We had to chase up the coffee, which he promptly brought to us (waited around 15min for that), the food was AMAZING! Spanish omelette and the hash. So so so good. Coffee was good. The staff were amazingly helpful, very friendly and honestly made me feel pretty much at home. What mucked the experience was the terrible food. I had the middle Eastern platter with cheese. The kofta was probably left outside of fridge for ages because right after I ate within one hour I started vomiting and it's been about 6 hours I still have the worst stomach cramp.
