For anyone who are going to try this restaurant and pay their bill by credit card, I strongly recommend you to check the amount you are going to pay on the eftpos machine against your bill. And, DO NOT GIVE ANY TIPS on credit card. I went there with a group of friends on a Thursday night. The price wasn't cheap, but acceptable. The food comes in very small serving. 2 dishes per person are recommended by the waitress. Everything was pretty good, awesome food, good table service. However, when the waitress pass me the eftpos machine for PIN, I noticed that they charged me $55 MORE than what was showing on the bill!!! Luckily I didn't drink too much, otherwise I wouldn't have noticed this. Originally I thought this was a genuine mistake and simply asked the girl to enter the correct amount. I even gave $5 tips, not much but just to say thank you. This time, it was correct amount plus tips on the eftpos machine when I paid for it. Then 1 day later, when it presented on my credit card account, there was extra $5.78 charged. I guess it was Master Card payment surcharge? But it was at weird %, and they even charged surcharge on the tips you gave them via credit card. That just didn't make any sense to me. Plus they didn't tell me at all that there will be surcharge even on Master Card payment. For a restaurant like this with pricey food at smaller serving, I assumed they would have include the merchant cost in their pricing, rather than passing the cost to customers. Now, looking back, maybe the $55 extra at the beginning wasn't even a mistake? I'm regretting giving...

One of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve had in a long time. Firstly, it took ages for the waiters to take our food order. Then, only two out of three drinks arrived, and we had to wait a considerable amount of time for the third.

We were seated for 2 hours and 45 minutes and, in that time, only received two tapas dishes — each arriving around 20 minutes apart. Meanwhile, tables that were seated long after us were served multiple dishes, leaving us hungry and frustrated. I genuinely cannot understand what was happening in this restaurant last night. It was just chaos. Other tables were clearly unhappy too, with some customers actually walking out.

While most of the waiting staff were friendly and seemed to be doing their best, one server came across as blunt and rude. There is clearly a serious issue with how this restaurant is run, whether it’s the kitchen, the ordering system, or management itself. Unfortunately, the front-of-house staff are left to deal with the fallout.

As for the food, it was average and definitely overpriced for what it was. It was hard to enjoy because three of us were essentially sharing one dish at a time due to the slow service. In hindsight, we should have left and gone to one of the nearby restaurants.

This place has serious issues that need to be addressed by management. A very disappointing...

I give one star to this restaurant because I can't give them ZERO! Im from Madrid, Spain and I know all my country, Ive been in each region of my country and I know the food of my country really good. I want to make it clear: THIS IS NOT A SPANISH RESTAURANT AND THEY DON'T KNOW ABOUT SPANISH FOOD!!! IT IS NOT ANYWHERE NEAR IT!!!! We tried many "tapas" ( the concept of the tapas is wrong as well because tapas are served for free just paying the drink). Apart of that, the food is cooked different with different ingredients...the dishes (they call it tapas) are small as expensive. The flavours are infinitely poor and don't represent spanish food. They transformed one of the best cuisines of the world to a terrible terrible deception...They should feel shame because they are dirtying the Spanish brand! I went out angry, without $ 40-50 and I had to cook again at home.

A must try if you love flavourful and delicious food! An impromptu dinner date after the races led us to this great restaurant. Friendly and attentive staff, great atmosphere, deliciously moreish food!Music was at the perfect volume (no need to shout at each other to converse!) Lighting was great. - Octopus Galation Style with smoked paprika - tender Octopus pieces with a delicious sauce which we mopped up with a warm sourdough. - Beef Carpaccio, sesame seared, truffle oil, babaganoush. This was my standout dish of the night. Perfectly sliced, perfectly balanced, just enough truffle, simply perfect. - Scallops, potato foam, parsley mojo verde, Jamon dust. - Truffle Mushroom Tortellini, sage, smoked salt butter. Another standout dish, with the perfect amount of truffle and who doesn't love a beautiful butter sauce. - seasonal greens - one of the most delicious seasonal greens dishes i have tastes. No bland flavour here!! Zesty lemon and almond gave these veggies the zing they need! Dessert : Catalan Custard and Belgium Chocolate Pudding Both DELICIOUS. A little on the more pricey side, however for the flavour experience more than suitable!!!

The resumption of cinemas has made me happy. In the last week I’ve visited two classic Sydney cinemas to take in flicks. In Randwick I teamed my visit to the Randwick Ritz with jalapeño margaritas & classic Penicillin cocktails at The Spanish Fly. With sanitiser, outdoor tables & hour-and-a-half sittings to maximise guests across the night, they’re doing okay with the pandemic dining paradigm. Jamon & Manchego make the tasting board ($27) a good sharing proposition that’s fast to prepare. Chickpea fritters ($19) with corn, zucchini and house made labna felt pricy for serving size and ingredient cost, but ate well. The dish did want for a little chilli bite. The same critique held true for Rodriguez Bros. chorizo served with chickpeas in a super-mild red pepper ragout. While slow to deliver, staff did supply both fresh & dried chilli to improve the situation. I used both on everything, including scorched Angus beef cheek empanadas ($21), to good effect. Garlic mushrooms ($15)—a perennial favourite—eat well here, with the unusual addition of enoki in the mix.

Great vibe and food. This little tapas joint is always packed with people but the tables are turned around pretty quick. We dropped in after a movie at the Ritz and were seated in less than 10mins. Server recommended two dishes per person and we found that to be enough but depends on how hungry you’re feeling. The patatas bravas and calamari dishes were outstanding, would definitely order again. The crab cakes and pulled pork croquettes were also pretty good. There is a lot of variety on the menu which is great for larger groups. The Frangelico Sour was superb. Kitchen closes as 10pm.
