It annoys me a bit to see such a good food place have lowered ratings due to people complaining about the service. If you’re paying $4 for something that should be charging $20, you should really rethink what the real priority is. If you want good service, go to Mr Wongs that charges you $35 for 5 dumplings (they don’t even taste this good). This place has hands down the BEST dumplings in Sydney, I lived in China for a while and still couldn’t find dumplings as good as this shop. Super juicy, huge filling and soooo tasty. Everything is HANDMADE from scratch, the filling and the dumpling dough. The dough is a very yummy consistency. You have to buy it frozen and cook it at home, I usually buy 3 bags everytime because the whole family finishes it in a few days. The dumpling chef is an authentic Chinese northerner who knows exactly what dumplings are MEANT to taste like. Also they have lots and lots of vegetarian options. As for the service, the boss is infamous in the Campsie Chinese community for being grumpy but hey, the food is super good price (you’ll be full with a delicious juicy meat bun with a bonus freshly ground soy bean drink for even less than $6), for authentic, delicious traditional chinese food so I don’t have an issue with that. I’ve experienced this grumpy service firsthand and honestly it’s not that bad, just get what you want & go.

Got a steamed pork bun ($3) here while waiting for the train. Wanted a vegetable and pork bun but they were sold out. Maybe I was just lucky, but the person who served me managed to understand my bad Chinese and didn't seem rude or anything to the person speaking English behind me. In terms of the bun itself, good amount of juicy meat, and robustly seasoned without being overpowering. Would definitely be even better though if it was more hot.

They've got the best chinese pancake/wrap I have ever tried in Sydney. The sausages are not the starchy style that I normally get from other similar chinese brekkie place, and the deep fried cracker gave a good crunchiness. They also started to put English name of their products which helps non-chinese speaker to understand a bit better of the products.

The person who served me behind the counter was really rude and unpleasant to deal with.

I was asked, quite bluntly, "What do you want?" If English isn't his first language, fine, at least learn courtesy and how to treat your customers. I even told him not to give me a plastic bag, but he insisted, quite rudely, to put the buns (which were already in a bag) into another plastic bag (which had handles)

This isn't the only pork bun shop in town. King Of Buns may not speak English as their first language, but they still treat their customers with respect.

Will never...

This is the worst experience I've ever had at a bun shop. They told me I needed to pre-order if I wanted to buy four buns. Their reason? If I bought four, the people behind me wouldn't be able to get any. Yet, the person in front of me bought ten buns without any issue. It's infuriating. What's the point of running a bun shop if you're not going to sell buns? They might as well shut down. Every time I try to buy bean buns, they're out of stock. On top of that, their prices...
