YUCK! Do not come here. Food was barely edible and was not fresh. We couldn't eat it that's how bad it was. So where do I start on the worst sushi experience of my life? The fish on the sushi was cut paper thin. The squid sashimi looked off white and not transparent (a sign of unfresh squid). The scallop sashimi looked liked it was cut by a 10year old using a blunt knife. The 'crispy prawn' udon ended up being a very soggy prawn udon because the chef just dunked it into the soup before serving. The wasabi they use is cheap and foul tasting. Upon paying the bill the cashier had the nerve to argue that I could only get a $5 discount despite a sign stuck on the counter saying there is $10 discount if the bill was over $100. Everything about this place is just about maximising profit and providing the least possible value to the customer. Absolutely no care or respect for the food they serve or the customer experience. Before you reply and deny the fact that i am not a legitimate customer I have attached pictures of your awful sushi. I will not be returning.

Very disappointed from thos restaurant. This is my first time to give a restaurant 1 star but I could not give anything higher from the service and food. Food, Food was not fresh at all, dry as you can see, I had to order something that it was not on the train so I can get them to make it freah but the quality still not good and they are from Korea so the way they make sushi is not really as good as the real Japanese one. The service, First start I had to go to grab a memu for myself even it is only 1 table and 2 more people at the sushi bar, there was only one waiter to look after the whole floor which he was busy with flirting with one of the cooks, I had to call the head chef to take an order. Pretty much I will never go back to this restaurant again ever, dont waste your money here. Loom for a better place for your meal.

The food was very fresh and tasty. The ambience and atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. The service was not that good. They were not able to help us very much and were difficult to get ahold of. The food took a really long time to come out causing some of my group to wait while others already finished eating. The food was really a standout and there are a few vegetarian or vegan options to pick from. The sizzling vegetarian dish was awesome. If you can look past the shortcomings in the service and wait time its actually a really nice place. I will probably give it another chance.

This is my favorite restaurant, been there for almost 2 years. However, I'm quite disappointed now, maybe they have changed owners or management.

Food quality and service are going down. The plastic lids on the sushi rails don't seem to be washed after each use because they're covered in white grease and you can't see what's inside the plate. The waiter brought out the food with his hands full of water after washing. The waitress brought out the tissue and she dropped it on the ground. She apologized but then picked it up, put it back on the table and put my chopsticks on the tissue as nothing happened. So, she wanted me to use that tissue? Excuse me??? If you don't believe me on this, you can look at other complaining reviews. Fish sashimi is cut as thin as paper. As for the scallops, they were probably 1/4 of a piece, cut thin to wrap on top of the rice and covered with lots of sauce to hide the thinness of the scallops.

The chef changes constantly, the wait staff only has 1 or 2 familiar faces, everything is new and the service and food are going down.

How sad for a business. About 5 months ago I came here to eat as usual and felt the change in the restaurant as well as the service. I asked the staff about the owner because I wanted to talk to them about hygiene. I don't want to make a big deal out of it, I just want to give some suggestions to keep my favorite restaurant. Because at that time, I thought maybe because the owner couldn't come to the shop often, the staff was a bit careless.

But the employee pointed to the kitchen and told the woman standing there that she was the manager and owner here. At this point I was very shocked, because I realized the problem was not the negligent employees but the owner's management. Maybe she doesn't know how to manage a restaurant.

I'm back today and hopefully things will be better because it's been 5 months since I was disappointed. Guess what =))) things look worse. I only order new food from the kitchen because I can't load any plates in the sushi line. It's too dirty. I also can't use paper and don't want to ask for another one because I don't know if it's another piece of paper that was dropped and picked up to be reused.

Maybe you think I'm being harsh, but sorry, if it were you, if someone picked up a piece of paper from the ground and gave it to you to wipe your mouth, would you use it? If someone just washed their hands and you don't know if they just went to the bathroom or washed their towels and then their thumb fell completely into your plate of food, would you be able to eat it?

Pay about $8 for a plate of 2 pieces of sashimi but only get rice and sauce, thin scallops or paper-thin fish. So that means 4$ for 1 piece like that??? The food here is inherently expensive compared to other normal places, but because it is worthy of the quality, customers are willing to spend money to enjoy it. But the quality of food is decreasing and the price is unchanged, are customers willing to spend money to have a bad experience like that???

I hope I will remember to take a picture for prove, unfortunately I don’t cause I’m really upset and I don’t think I need any picture to write a bad review like this. But my friend told me I should write sth, maybe the owner will see it and she will fix it. Soon, it’s will be more bad review like this come up and the restaurant will in troubles if keep going more worse like this. Unless the owner accept to change to better and no more customers give fake 5 stars just to get a free drink from them =)))) good way to promotion but not last cause customers...

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVERWORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!

EXPECT TO HAVE FLIES/CROCKCOACHES IN YOUR FOODS

EXPECT TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY PROBLEMS YOU MAY GET HERE!

We just got out of there about 1 hour ago and I still cannot believe what happened and am still shocked now. The first time and we will never think of coming back there. It was about 9.30pm already and hard to find a restaurant opened till late around our area so we felt very lucky to find this one because Japanese food is also our favourite. The reataurant looks clean. I ordered 1 chicken katsu udon and my friend ordered 1 chicken katsu ramen. My soup initially tasted quite nice until 2 mins after I started eating, I found 1 little DIED CROCKROACH in my soup. I could not continue eating and so did my friend. We informed the waitress and she called a lady in the reception in, who I guess is also the manager. They offered to change to another soup but we rejected because we wouldn't be able to eat here anymore thinking that the restaurant is not that clean. NONE of them DID APOLOGISE. Me and my friend had not even finished a quarter each but we decided to leave. We came to the manager and said we could not eat anymore. She showed us the bill and asked for $26 for both. OMG. She did not apologise and wanted to charge us for all. We told her that we were not going to pay. She then got very angry with us and she SHOUTED to us something like: "No. It wasnt a crockcoach, JUST a fly and it was still alive. It was your problem, NOT our problem. Imagine when you cook at home there will be cases where a fly flies accidentially into your foods as well..." OMG. I cannot believe in what she was saying? She thought crockcoaches could be issues but flies are ok to eat? She kept saying it was our problems but not the restaurant's and NO APOLOGY at all. We insisted not to pay then she got really angry looked like she wanted to kill us and if there was not myfriend there with me then I would probably cry couldn't believe how she could act like that. At the end, she shouted to us " Don't ever come to this restaurant anymore. I cannot believe that there are people like you...".OMG. did she really think we would ever want to come back?????

OMG. Who should be one who got upset more in this case? We tried to talk to her very nice and I even felt a bit sad thinking that she might not be the owner and the owner could be upset with her... But with how she behaved, ... I cannot believe how bad customer service can be... Imagine if not us but other customers, I trust they probably would not even be that calm.

I went out and took a photo of the restaurant sign and we had to find another restaurant. How funny when we were passing the restaurant later the night, she saw us then she ran out of the restaurant and she was running after us and taking photos of us from behind. Omg. What is she going to do with the photos of our backs? I will post a review on its facebook page so I hope she can get to see my facebook and download whatever photos of mine on facebook with my face. Cannot believe what happened. Still...

We been going to ashin since 2009 till now. I understand 2022 is been though that changing owner ( when we asked the staff where’s the owner, we been coming but haven’t see him and checking if he’s ok. They said he’s only staff, the owner still the same)

We been trying to support every now and then. Not as often as once every week like all other years. And everytime we came back, you guys disappointed more and more.

The sushi well know as fresh, which we recommended lots of my customers and friends to come for it. It not fresh anymore.

Too much sauce and too salty for the grill cabs, scallops and salmon that we had

Tempura Prawn was like what’s going on? The flower and the crumb separately from the prawn.

We are fam of 4. My table always full of food. Table was full and staff keep bringing out food and stand the looking at us, you can check the cameras how awkward that look, I told her put on the other side table, we finish udon and the tofu bowl, staff walk up and down hundreds time in their own world, but no one clear the table so we can get more space. We end up not bother food on other table not even want to take away. No one even ask if everything ok, how’s the food or anything.

We always order same food religiously for the last 13 years. The price go from $120 - $140. Today we paid $246.20

Don’t just focus on the new looks, it nice to change, but 95% people come back for quality and the service. If it’s not there, I don’t think anyone will come back just for the new look.

This is my last time and never again. And I notice I’m not the only one since so much bad reviews and you can tell, weekend know as no booking no table, and now is dead.

If you don’t do something about this, good luck to you...
