My husband and I were quite excited to have found this newly opened Japanese restaurant that is conveniently located in the South Village. However, our first dining experience with them was disappointing. We have nothing to complain about the food, I mean they werenāt outstanding but was what we expected from a casual local eat out. Service on the other hand, was pretty shocking. Upon on arriving at the restaurant, the front counter staff asked if we had a booking. We told her no and got given this āok, I donāt where I am able to fit you thenā look when there were more than 10 vacant tables. After being allocated our table for two, we got given the menu and this other waitress came over to take our order in a ādonāt give a rats assā attitude, then walked off looking like she ran out of strength to lift up her feet (maybe sheās had a long day?). We were hungry at the time so really didnāt want over analyse the situation. The food came out pretty fast. Well, my husbandās food did, so I watched him eat for 5 minutes before my mine arrived. We quickly ate and were in no mood to sit there and have a good time so we decided to get the bill and since none of the waitresses bothered to look our way, I got up to pay at the cashier, hoping maybe, this time, I will be acknowledged and treated like a respected customer ā but No. The cashier lady (which was also the front counter lady) did not look at me throughout the entire process, not for even a second. She said āthanks mamā to the cashier in front of her upon completion of payment. I walked out deciding that Iām not coming back here. Itās unfortunate because I love Japanese food but having to experience the foul attitude each time is just...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDO NOT GO HERE AND EXPECT AN ENJOYABLE DINING EXPERIENCE. This place is the worst franchise/restaurant in Sydney. Itās not even a Japanese restaurant. No customer service, all waiters at the restaurant looked as if they just woke up. We were not even greeted when we entered, nor when we paid the bill. Most importantly, we ordered the Wagyu Udon and Wagyu Ramen, two fairly simple traditional japanese dishes. We were served with soggy noodles, cabbage, zucchini, capsicum and Bok Choy in a pool of oil. They advertise Wagyu beef but Iām pretty sure they buy flank steak from woolworths and then spit in it. Iām fairly certain they didnāt have the right ingredients and instead just chucked in whatever was in stock. Lastly, you could have no staff in this restaurant and it would be a nicer place to dine at. I also saw the owner of this franchise commenting on reviews calling customers ridiculous. If your owner has this mindset, they might as well stop operating. How about the owner actually pay his workers properly so they want to be there and on top of that actually give the customers what they pay for? Canāt wait for the owner to comment on this, Iād love to see...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreLocated at South Village Shopping Centre, 580 Princes Highway, Kirrawee, New South Wales, Australia š¦šŗ I am not a big Japanese šÆšµ eater but I wanted something different so myself and my friend decided to come here for dinner tonight. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated making it very welcoming. We had the pork gyoza š„, tempura prawns to share and I had the spicy chicken stir fry as main. It was lovely but I think I am just used to other types of Asian style food ie Thai. Saying that, the food was presented beautifully and tasted delicious. The server was very friendly and welcoming, willing to help us in any way. Thereās ample parking š æļø underneath the shopping centre and itās a short walk from Kirrawee railway station š. Thereās toilets very close to the restaurant. I was disappointed to learn that the restaurant doesnāt allow split billing. This is frustrating when you are there with friends as I was and we are attempting to pay for our own meals. This shouldnāt be hard to allow, especially if the restaurant is not busy as it was when we attended. This lost a star āļø from me. Otherwise, it was a pleasant experience....
